Hi folks, so today we take a look at the Hypernet relay which I believe to be a great place to start to make very nice ISK. In this video I explain how to hypernet, how to setup a hypernet and the tax's involved and the profits and ISK that can be made with little or no skills required making it in my option one of the best and easiest ways to make awesome amounts of ISK.

Take the cost of the ship, the cost of the nodes x2, the cost of the tax x2, The cost of the tickets (x8) needs to exceed this value. If it doesn't then don't list it as you're loosing ISK. It is does the you will earn ISK.

I want to try the Hypernet soon, but I don't know if I want to do the whole buying 50% of the nodes myself shtick. As you say: you make more ISK by selling all of them. And I think if the margin is good and the item popular, the offers will fill. One can always buy up some straggling nodes.

Doing some rough calculations in my head. From the example you showed does it cost more in Plex for the hypernodes than you can buy with the profit from one? Seems like a loss with how expensive Plex is

Hypernet is perfect to make a margin on something that can't otherwise sell with profit. I just made few Retrievers, all in all 51mil for materials and about 3mil for facility taxes, I need to ship it to Jita because it won't be easy to build it there due to high taxes for manufacturing, current price is 61.5mil and I can fit 10 of those in Iteron V and ship them in a single trip, forr what need be done logistically it's not worth it, I can't have much profit due to market wars and of Broker sale tax. If I need to adjust the price even once it's over. Either I have to spend a month training or do missions to lower taxes with standing. The margin is mostly non existent. But in HyperNet I can create few million magically on top of Jita. People will still agree that is good offer although pricey, they don't buy all spots as it's not working like that. Good option for any Industrialist. I would bet on my own HyperNet for fun with one or two spots, or actually if the Node is about to expire.

I think that practice more applies for more expensive ships, just judging by what I see nowadays on the hypernet.

Any way to see how many of a ship are listed on the hypernet without owning that ship? Obviously if there's less than 9 you can tell by looking it up on the hypernet home screen, but I don't want to buy a ship that looks profitable o ly to find out there are 50 of them listed.

For each ship purchased, running this twice and buying half of your own nodes you are expecting to make 150m profit. (As you show above) If you were to not buy any nodes and could sell all eight, even though you would guarantee losing the ship every time you would make 400m profit. Buying own nodes cuts your profit massively, 150m per ship vs 400m per ship on average, as he says in the video, he doesn't want to buy his own nodes and gamble, he only does it to make sure the draws complete. Interesting to see just how much profit per ship you give up by having to do that though.

Let's use my example of the Gila Gilded Predator Skin, I bought it from the market at 500M, put on HN for 1B. If I buy back 0 tickets, the expected return is 151M; if I buy back 4, the expected return is...... 151M. This is because the cost of item is precisely half of the HN deal total. So, it depends if the HN total is more than twice the cost of item.

Can only be bought off the Nexus store. Once they have been bought off the store you can sell them on the open market. They cost PLEX

The house here refers to CCP. I have created 50 HN deals total value about 10B, 3 expired without enough interest, 32 completed, of which I won 10 lol. My profit is still positive at 232.6M, while the hypercore cost total is 574M and the hypernode tax total is 594M. A small trick is always buy plex and trade for hypercode at new eden store, instead of directly buy them from market. Overall this is probably the most newbie friend way of making money. Another small trick is that if you study the tickets, and exclude those sharing too many letters with each other, the chance of winning increases. I didn't do this until my HN deal #41...

@@strange_Net Glad to hear back from you! I benefited the most from youtubers like yourself, EVE OZ and AceFace. I am wondering, if you can give some suggestions on non combat ISK making strategies, particularly after one hits 20B. I found the second 10B isk much harder to make than the first, quite contrary to the conventional wisdom lol. I grew from 1B to 10B quickly through margin trading and market manipulation, but they don't seem worth the trouble now. I am too new in game to know the ins and outs to do swing/cycle trading, I think. The whale hunting method you made your first 10B is harder to do too, as the whales learned to split their orders. I did some buy and hold for collectibles, but I don't know how to sell, and competition usually ruins the high selling prices for me. I tried manufacturing but kept losing money, unless I put them on HN, and then, I found I make more ISK if I simply HN the blueprints lol... Thanks again! Fly safe!

@@strange_Net To eliminate spam. Most of the time when people buy up fifty percent of the hypernette listings, they are posted twelve or more times in a row in rapid succession. Not to mention I don't like deals that favor the seller more so than myself. I don't deem it to be fair because if you keep all of my money. If you lose you still make money. It's a loose loose proposition for the buyer In most cases.

Also price the hypernets reasonably and you never need spam. Ive never spammed a single link and I sold the vast majority of all the hypernets I ever listed.

@@strange_Net Maybe you do maybe you don't. It doesn't matter. So many spammers use this tactic of buying up half the nodes that it just becomes an automatic tick. Block it. Block it. Block it. And yours just happens to fit right in the criteria and match almost every checkbox for what the spammers set up. I don't even think twice about it. Block it. I may miss out on a few opportunities here and there but by in large. It's just faster and easier to block. They match so closely to the spammers and I don't like seeing walls of text fly by at the speed of light. So I Block it. Block it. Block it. A quick glance is all I need at the hypernet offer to see if it matches a spammer criteria. Half the nodes are bought up. Block it. And move on.

This is not true.... I invested 30 billion isk as an experiment in the hypernet and come away with nothing. lost 1.2bill over 3 weeks. What a waste of time.

it isn't actually 50 / 50 probability isn't calculated like that. on an 8 node listing you have an 8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8 chance per node. you can have a huge winning steak, or lose your ass like i did a couple times.

@@AdGameRr it makes the statement that you will unconditionally make money fall flat yes. That said the odds are good but you need to have the capital to ride it out when you inevitably hit a losing streak. Depending on how much probability likes you it can take a while to catch up. Worst run I’ve had is 8 losses in a row followed by 1 win and 4 more losses. Took a while to break even on that one, might just be my luck but I haven’t had any winning streaks equal to my losing streaks.

@@jacobbruner2736 essentially that on an 8 node listing where you’ve purchased half your nodes you have the same odds as someone who has one node on 8 listings. When you flip a coin it’s 50 / 50 because it can only land on one side (it isn’t actually 50/50 either it’s calculated 2*2) but when you roll a dice it can land on 1 of 6. So for a dice roll it’s 6*6*6*6*6*6 odds you will get the roll you want and on an 8 node hypernet listing it’s 8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8 that you will have your ticket called. Because it is a raffle and not a lottery there is always a winner so it gets simplified and keeps rolling until there is one. This is why real life lotteries can build up because the odds are so astronomically crap.

Nope he is not. His example is pretty clear (and maybe easier to explain if you first win and then loose it). But still you can have bad luck overall even with 50/50 chance when you loose 10 in a row and do not have the money to earn it back. 1. Buy the ship for 1,45 Bil. (actual: -1,45 Bil.) 2. Put it on the on the hypernet for 2,1 Bil. with 210 Mil. tax (actual: -1,66 Bil.) 3. Winning the ship in the first round: You will get 1,05 Bil. from other players (actual: -0,61 Bil.) 4. Put it on the hypernet again for 2,1 Bill. with 210 Mil. tax (actual: -0,82 Bil.) 5. Loosing the ship in the second round: You will get 1,05 Bil. from other players (actual: +0,23 Bil.)
