Awesome story ... the major "flaw" of EVE is that it doesnt have a good way of filming it and "historic events" like these events. Any larger engagement has hundreds / thousands of ships involved in it ... and the usual way to play this is to play in 3rd person ... zoomed wayy out from your ship, so you have an overview of the battle. This is understandable from a gameplay perspective, but visually it ends up with "a bunch of dots" ... or in other words: the "fish swarm dilemma", where a shark has a swarm of fish in front of it and doesnt know which one to focus on. This is also a problem that is present in Hollywood movies for example, when they put too many "main" characters in a movie which people cant really follow all. Thus "reducing the number of ships" would help with being able to make it easier to film stories from the game AND using a closer first-person perspective instead of "the god-perspective" would be much better for that too, because as humans we are more interested in individuals ... "hundreds of people being injured" is not "a hundred times more emotional than one person being injured". Obviously EVE is made the way it is because it is easier to have a spreadsheet simulation than to create dozens/hundreds of ships in high resolution ... including the interior for them. The point I am trying to make is: - games like WoW have been used to create player-made stories in the form of videos for a long time - the Star Wars franchise is more or less dying or being mistreated by Disney --->>> having community created Sci-Fi stories could potentially fill a great demand/hole and tell better stories than the "professionals" in Hollywood are giving us atm due to their ideological delusions.

Do you think CCP will continue to expand the Drifter Lore? I keep hearing rumors that since they dropped the PVP-like AI introduced with the Circadian Sleepers that now the Drifters Lore will not be focused on at all (and perhaps with that, the Triglavian Lore after the release of the latest Invasion 2 update). What do you think in your personal opinion?

End of the invasion it would seem (at least for now) but still earlier than New Eden Report somehow. They haven't done anything since EVE North which has left me really disappointed to be honest.

Really like the videos Jin, but could you please for the love of christ invest in a decent compressor mic, or even a better headset mic with some noise cancellation? Would go miles for you :)
@Jintaan5 жыл бұрын
This is the second mic I've tried and every time people have told me it's shit, I've kind of given up at this point. ATM I use a Blue Yeti, previous to that I used an actual headset mic from a Asus 7.1, and before that I used a proper compression boom mic. Not much more I can try.
@kevinvanderkruk58475 жыл бұрын
@@Jintaan I think it has more to do with the acoustics of your room then the actual mic itself (altho there is still a bit of noise on your mic prolly from the fans of your pc from what I can hear) Try to put your mouth a bit closer to the actual microphone to mitigate reflections (the diffrence between 2 cm and 10cm mouth to microphone distance is a world of diffrence) and you might want to look into a cheap Microphone Isolation Shield/Pop filter and see if that fixes the problem. Some compression on the recording before you add it into the video might work aswell. Try to experiment a bit with your particular setup to see how you get the best audio. Hope these tips help a bit.

Yep--all capsuleers/empires in EVE are descendants of humans on Earth. Look up videos for the collapse of the "Eve gate" to get a super basic picture of how New Eden was discovered and how the humans that colonized it got stuck here thousands of years before modern EVE.

We understand it's hard to start any discussion or video without saying hello first, but you can cut it out in post next time :P
@kirielbranson48435 жыл бұрын
I am not subbed. This came up in my feed because I watched some videos about the latest world event. And even if I was, I disagree about not having a short introduction. Very few content creators don’t have an intro and the ones that just start in have an into after a minute. I personally like it. Hearing the music for Jim Sterling, or “Hello and welcome to my channel, Viced Rhino here..” to a picture of River Song and the words “Hello Sweetie” on the screen, or the starting music of Buffy. There is a reason every show has one. I am trying to find the words for what an intro does but am the words aren’t coming. I know it strikes an emotion and puts me in an anticipation place for the content. Intros are important and having a recognizable should be a goal.
@0ldmate5 жыл бұрын
@@kirielbranson4843 Kiriel, thanks for your comment, it has caused me to think a bit harder about what I was trying to say in my initial comment. I agree with your thoughts about a recognisable intro being important. Personally my favourites are ones that have a short montage of highlights from the channels more memorable moments with some non-abusive background music. Also high on the list is an attention grabbing initial statement or sentence to draw the viewers interest before getting into the 'high everybody oldmate here'. I have just found myself quite often switching off when the creator starts with that, especially if I'm familiar with that creator. As an example I think Lasker Emanual has a great intro - acknowledged his videos are of a bit of a different tone but I see that intro at it gets you pumped to watch some good pvp and draws your attention. I'd be interested to hear more of your thoughts?
