I feel that the Ammar empire takes some inspiration from the Islamic empires of the middle ages. They both share The emperor being seen as the spiritual as well as political leader An economy based on slavery Belief in the one true God The designs on the empires ships resemble the arabesque art on the walls of mosques. I would be interested to see what you a think

Well i do believe it's normal to misinterpret both Islam as Amarr BUT after looking further turned out it's much closer to classic Catholic than Islam and here's why (all quoted and derived from the official lore) *Feudal system cities (in countries Islam ever ruled there was never a feudal system, until the fall of the khilaphat) *Emperor speaks FOR God (a deity emperor , emperor not a prophet nor a messenger) *Emperor can contradict parts of scripts (Judaism all over it, NEVER Islam as there is a promise from God to preserve the script of Quran from alteration till the end of time) *Emperor only interfere with what concerns the entire nation while 5 families rule under him (Khaliphat on the other hand, quoting from Islamic history, "if a mule or a donkey should fall because the roads are not level, Omar (khaliphat) will be questioned before God on the Day of Judgment as to why he did not repair the roads for these animals.” This is a famous saying. *Amarr have apostles , Muslims only have one messenger (prophet) with normal people as followers (companions of the prophet) and they are limited to what the prophet teaches them (no alleged connection to God) *Amarr have claimed superiority for true Amarrians over the other new followers and they gave them the right to enslave commoners and tax them accordingly while even having the right to establish breeding facility . while in Islam all are equals new or old to Islam and all have the same rights and one never allowed to enslave people o have sexual rights to subjects lol . (many happened in Africa by Christians' though) *Amarr have heirs from high end noble families while in Islam the noble system isn't a thing , an heir is only who a Consultative Assembly elects . while the word heir in Islam means the ones that are entitled to your inheritance when you pass. *Amarr have separate heirs and holders (sub rulers) taxation system , while in islamic rule there was only taxation for those who wish to live under the islamic protection without accepting islam and wish to live freely and benefit of all the newly founded civilization services (basically similar to today's tax but to encourage people to accept islam they exempted Muslims from it) *Public trials , separate laws per domain , which is never the case in Islam (all are ruled by the same law) *Holder's class are Byzantine hierarchy , stated literally by the lore somewhere. in which make them Christians rather Muslims *Eve Echoes have no avatar whatsoever to any character of a color in Amarr selection page (all white) for some reason which is not the case in the islamic world (are of all races and colors) *Eve echoes have one mission states literally that the divine trials are held at the Church (Muslims don't have church) *Lore states that the Amarr's religion was originated from a "Unified Catholic Church" which is again a Christian related place not Islamic. *In Islam it is not allowed to have a female in authority, never were ruled by female figure while Amarr did (empress) * In Islam they aren't allowed to use Gold on their vehicles , weapons and homes (i know some do) but generally gold is only an asset and an accessories for females and females only. *Muslims don't think they are the chosen ones and original Muslims do not claim superiority over the new followers (Judaism all over it!) *Muslims haven't enslaved others they ruled , they insured that everyone is equal under the rule of islam on one region and people are let to live freely doing what they used to do before the conquest. *Lastly now think about Catholics and see the similarities when it comes to (Chosen ones, true amarr are superior to others , they have immense amount of gold collected by raids and conquests , ruled by a queen , at ages ruled by feudal system , noble lords above commoners , , , etc) the way i see it , it is much more likely to be Catholic rather Muslim , and i am welling to discuss it further anytime.

Two things I think are worth pointing out: 1. "Holders" are actually not based on power, but on bloodline (which is in turn absed on power 3 millenia ago). A holder whose domain has been reduced to a single small habitation dome in a small, long mined-out asteroid field does not hold a whole lot of power, but can own slaves just like a holder who owns an entire constellation can. And then of course the domains of major holders are in turn partially granted to lesser holders. The internal borders of the Amarr Empire are probably all sorts of gross as well after 3 millenia of inheritance going on. 2. Slavery is actually extremely diverse, and much more than the temperament of the holder a slave's role has much greater influence on their lot in live. A household slave of an ultra-conservative holder has a better life than a liberal holder's mining slave.

@@enomisitnoc3653 The drake navy is really good, I agree. Might have to get one again 🙂. If you want to go with battle ships forget the amarr stuff they are all truly terrible. Jumped back into my old apoc navyand geddon navy and wow they suck haha. The apocalypse navy can sorta get through l4 missions. However the Minmatar Typhoon is better in every possible way. The Typhoon can have more range, cap stable whilst repping, selectable damage types, faster, more agile, more resistant to neuts and tracking disruption. All while being cheaper to buy and fit.

The votron projector's description states "Originally developed by the Upwell Consortium for use on Keepstar Citadels" IE.The Standup Arcing Vorton Projector. Which fires exactly like the abaddon's weapon. That weapon was a "Terran superweapon". The Terran are the hypothetical colonizers of New Eden who came from the EVE gate. I believe the weapon its self was later destroyed in the seyllin incident which resulted in wormholes appearing across New Eden. So, yes. She did.

some little details left of in the length of the video: -the Ealur weren't forcefully enslaved by the Amarrians once they were discovered, they were actually a very docile people according to the records with only one casualty at the time of meeting each other. for the most part the Ealur lived a very tranquil life without any drive to advance into a higher civilization so they basically accepted being put into servitude without struggling as it still was pretty much a seemingly good deal for them. in Amarrian eyes the Ealur are basically like a dog, they wont bite the hand that feeds them because they are so domesticated they wouldnt probably do something on their own if left alone, there's no reason or drive for them to revolt and become independent like the Minmatar(or in a less problematic way, the Ni'kunni). -the Ni'kunni were a case similar to the Caldari, their planet was partially terraformed at the time but the other way around compared to Caldari Prime (it was a hot planet similr to Kharak from the Homeworld franchise, with scorching deserts covering most of the surface and people living cramped around the poles) and they were in the process of industrial revolution (with an emphasis on Brass rather than Steel due to the poor metal composition of their planet). the Ni'kunni had a culture similar to Amarr with "Water Barons" taking control of the population due to holding the most sought after resource in the whole planet. the whole enslavement of the Ni'kunni was actually triggered by the water barons wanting to exhert their opinion and views over the Amarrian envoys and putting their whole people at risk just to mantain their power. despite this downside the Ni'kunni people served their role as slaves in a very formal and obedient way and perhaps this is one of the mayor causes of why they were emancipated and made into free citizens of the empire, it also helps that the Minmatar were more troublesome so the Ni'kunni gained more prestige by playing it smart and let the slavers give them their freedom by focusing into supressing the other group further. -Khanid stole one of the Iapetan class Titans from the hands of the Royal Navy as part of his secession from the empire. this is one of the many factors of why they were able to keep the imperial forces from invading and subduing the region, they could run on equal foot with the Amarr if having to. in addition to this the Khanid Kingdom had developed really good relations with the Caldari in order to get a technological advantage over their adversaries (thus Khanid ships and faction modules are focused around missiles, albeit with a particular interest in short range stuff like Rockets, HAMs, Torpedoes, etc.. instead of the long range focus of the Caldari missile platforms). -in general terms the Amarr Empire is the oldest and most advanced of the modern empires but their focus on tradition and doctrine had let their technological advantage to stagnate while the rest of the cluster has catched up with them (and perhaps surpass, as its the case of Caldari). the almighty Golden Fleet was legendary back then but nowadays the armies found in the other empires are on equal ground or better than them in the battlefield. one of the sources of why we have gotten stuff like FAXes or new lines of Destroyers, Logistic ships and so one has been because the Amarrian Navy forces have revised their fleet doctrines and strategies and have put a need to create new stuff as a response to their lack of variety (so they are usually the first race to develop a new ship to that particular role while the other empires follow the trend later on to mantain the balance of power)

Jin'taan, Could you do an episode on the economy of eve in relation to asset safety? I personally think that doing away with asset safety everywhere except HS would greatly benefit Eve Online. It would allow for that real RTS destruction of strategic locations and assets. I believe it would entice war especially when defending strategic assets like production facilities and storage locations. This would also encourage the people who have assets in these locations help defend their assets. Even in HS we can limit asset safety to items that an alpha can use. This I think will balance Risk VS reward across New Eden. Spying would become a more integral part of the game aswell. Locating these assets and tracking pilot movements could become a good business. At the same time counter intelligence will become more necessary then ever before. It would allow for the devs goal of coalition leaders and alliance leaders to have the feeling of control with out actually having complete control. I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. I think this would greatly benefit Eve and allow it to go on forever. All of us eve lovers want our little sandbox to stand the test of time.

Chamberlain Karsoth, was the guy leading Amarr when the Eldar fleet attacked. His role was supposed to be that of a steward, to watch over the empire until a new royal leader could come out. Oh and before i forget, since this ties in with the Elders/Amarr, it was about 3 titans. 2 of them when to Amarr, each one having different objectives with their taskforces. the 3rd went to Yulai. its taskforce went in first, then the titan came in after.
