You of all people should know that the Porpoise is not a solo mining ship. It's a fleet boost command ship. Its boosts do not apply to its own mining drones. You can mine faster in a T1 barge.

Industrial core absolutely does in fact affect your own drones. I even just verified this on my porpoise to confirm. However you are right, you will get more yield on a T1 you will NOT be able to stay on grid for as long. there is a lot of efficiency lost in going to and from a station. Plus nothing says you can't invite some friends along and or random strangers to share the benefit. I usually offer anyone in belt I run into to join my fleet to get bonuses even if I'm not formally doing anything . but then again I don't run max drone yield so that I have the fitting room for range and cycle time

@@jushara8979 Yes, having the industrial core active does indeed increase your mining drone yield. It also makes you a sitting duck....

@@jushara8979 The fleet mining boost modules, however, do not apply to your own ship or drones. Those are to boost other actual mining ships. So, again, the Porpoise is not a solo mining ship. Without the fleet boosts, you're not even using it for it's intended purpose.

Porp is great for survivability. 6 sec align time and some 40k EHP. Other than that, I agree, it is a support ship at its core.

my first thought if your really intent on solo drone mining... why are you not boosting your own mining drones? you've got no bursts fitted

This is another exciting video in the scope of your long-running 'solo-minings' series on KZbin! I'm thrilled - as the favourable comments on your previous presentations should show. Without this input here on KZbin, the interested 'beginners' in the Eve-Verse will surely bite through metre-thick granite that various blogs and the general help scope of eve-online can provide! My request is to keep up the good work! In your opinion, drone mining is more relaxed but less profitable than direct mining. Is that the case, or does it depend more on the actual 'location' in the eve-space? Or is drone mining more of a matter of attitude, and is the yield more of the same?
