If you don't strictly need the cal navy ammo to kill the clone soldier you might want to get your self a t1 torpedo bpo. Loot the wrecks of the battleships, reprocess the loot and just build yourself some more torps. You should get quite a lot of minerals from reprocessing the modules and it will make your ammo 'free' and sourced locally.

He could also distribute torpedos throughout loweec that he can pick up when roaming.

Scrapmetal processing is one of the most important skills you can train. Get it at least to level 4. Sometimes it makes the difference between getting 1 of a mineral or 0 when reprocessing some things.

I decided to try this out since the idea of stealth bomber to make isk is one I like, and I managed to get not only this but also a Barghast bpc from a mordu bs. The Clone soldiers alone seem to inconsistent to make reliable isk, but as long as these guys are found it can make for really solid profit. The only really sad part to this type of ratting is seems most effective if done just once per day (quick pass of a half dozen systems), as clone soldiers don't seem to respawn much (unless maybe you full clear belts).

Instead of a bomber just use a Confessor? It'll kill everything you need with minimal ammo costs.

The notion is that low-sec has pvpers that roam about, so the bomber lets you search for the rare rats in perfect safety, only ever having to expose yourself for ~3 minutes on the occasion you do find a rare rat.

@@TheWhiskyDelta I started Eve in 2011, I understand that. What I'm saying is that it isn't that scary to need to fly a bomber like that. A Confessor for example would do the job better, would 1 shot frigs and used to be able to achieve a -2s align so safe gating aswell.

​@@scottbromley1818 Since combat is rare (only like 2-3 NPC's per hour) it's not really needed, kill effeciency and cost isn't much of a big deal here. But I at least like not having to pay attention 90% of the time when I'm just roaming belt to belt, system to system. Better still the pvpers learn your name and that you are perma stealthed and mostly just ignore you after awhile. Also Pvp's often switch to T3C's or other bigger ships when they spot toughter targets. Also i'm not sure why when we started matters though since you care I started in 2004. And the SB can handle any of the Mordu ships as well. If I did swap ships I would more likely do a vengance or other assault frig I think.

@@TheWhiskyDelta you don't D scan? He also says he isn't applying well to frigs. My original point still stands, low sec isn't that dangerous if you want it to be. I use a shield fit DD to go Clone soldier hunting, and even though only seen 1 Mordus, I killed that aswell. A T3C would be good yes but you're upping the risk compared to a Frig or a T3D. Obviously everyone plays their own game I was just saying there's more efficient ways if you're not scared of low sec.

Do i miss something why you so scared of cloakies? As i understand beside stealth bombers the cloakies have a recalibration delay. Should you not be able to warp off when you are pre aligned? But gz to the drop.

Most of these rare rats warp scramble you so you are basically stuck. Maybe you could burn out of range but with a cloaked attacker you wouldn't know you need to until too late.
