Hey man - awesome and thanks for the videos! I'm based out of Naeel which is right next to Dhira/Dital and I saw your Raitarus while passing through the other day. I've got my Raitaru along with the manufacturing service module, all I need now are the rigs and I'll be popping one up in Naeel.

Thanks for putting up this complex! I'm mainly an explorer and have acquired stacks of sleeper and Talon relics over the years but being in a corp that doesn't allow POSs (WiNGSPAN) I haven't had any place to do T3 invention. Just made my first Proteus BPC, soon I'll have a fleet of them! Thanks again!

Hey delonewolf. I've been getting a craving for Eve recently and despite only being an alpha my entire history I've been curious about New Eden and your videos have been a huge help. I'm really interested in owning a Raitaru someday and this video has a lot of good info in it, notably about consolidating into engineering complexes. So a couple of my friends and I have been looking to start our own corp for a couple of weeks now. We're still planning out our goals and long-term plans and whatnot, but we've decided that we want to start off as a mining/ industry corp; doing mining ops and then using the ores to make our items. Most of us are Alpha clones though, with the exception of myself as an Omega, and a few others. I was hoping you could give us some advice, like, what type of things should we look into producing? Where's the best place to sell? If we moved out into Dital with you, would it be beneficial to use your Raitarus as our research/production base?

Thought I'd chime in on this and give you some answers - When you're looking into selling stuff you produce you'll need to basically determine what the cost is of all of the materials to build the item, and how much the item is worth. Along with that you have to determine if you have access to all of the resources required to build those items. The best places to sell are normally trade hubs if you're looking for a quick turn around, you might be able to find better profit margins elsewhere but you'll lose the convenience of the faster market at a trade hub. His Raitaru would benefit you, if his Raitaru has the rigs that relate to what you're building. If so - then yeah, his Raitaru would cause whatever you're building to cost less resources. Dital is a great spot because it's right next to Null and the forces that live in Providence are friendly to everyone - as long as you're not red to them (an enemy).

Draven Lestat Thanks. We were thinking on starting off with munitions and small ships. I was also told that selling stuff like that at mission hubs instead of the large reading hubs was the best idea for those items. Any truth to that?

In all honesty I haven't tried it personally so I'm not too sure about that - so it could be true! I know ammo, especially T1 ammo, can take more time on average than most stuff to sell. Ships, especially the more commonly used ships, are a good way to go because they sell fast and only require minerals to produce. I personally produce nothing but T2 modules, drones, and T1 destroyers/cruisers and make a killing off of it in trade hubs.

they are meant to in time, for now POS can still do reactions but that should go to the drilling rigs in a next phase. in a faction tower you could probably get more services for less fuel but that's about it.

It seems we are neighbors now. I do have a question about the industrial complexes, but mainly about the Azbel. I heard that it will allow for Capital Construction, if you deploy one in high sec, would you be able to construct the capital ships that are allowed in high sec (freighters for instance)?

at the moment it's around 100 jobs per day over all the services, so including reprocessing.

Hi, so if I have ME 10 BPO allready, do you know if bonus from raitaru ME 1% and possibly some rig ME2% will actually end up like ME 13 on that BPO? or ME 10 is max regardless ? any ideas? Thanks!

i think you get the extra bonus. It would make little sence otherwise to invest in the rigs.

yes, if activity goes up too much cost will go up aswell. Still, it's not Perimeter :-)

I recently moved my orca into Dital because my alliance banned the use of them due to so many being destroyed. My question is how safe is it to mine with an Orca in Dital? There's a lot of red traffic that passes through to KBP7-G, and I know Dital is high-sec, but one can never be too cautious..

I've been mining with an Orca/Hulk for 8 months now 2 systems over in Naeel, and haven't had anything happen. Just make sure to tank you Orca and you'll be fine. Also use Shield links/remote shield repairer if you're dual mining with an alt in case someone does attack. You should be fine in Dital!

since i have returned to the after stopping in 2014 (rubicon), citadels/engineering complexes are really new to me, do people still pay a facility fee on these when they use it? that's why the owners put it at 0% station tax? i mostly do PvP but I have a station trading char and thinking of starting an industry char since I've never done industry since I started playing in 2005 so I'm interested in also setting up my own engineering complex.

you pay fees when you set up a job, one is tied to the systems index, the more jobs in the system the higher the fee, the other are taxes set by the owner, this is a bit of market pvp if you will, lower taxes, more customers.

it's like a citadel but with less hp and 9 vulnerable hours, so it will still take 3 timers to destroy it, they also have the same asset safety as citadels and that includes bpo's that are active in jobs so it's not likely to be targetted for loot.

Xtampida it gives you a timer as to when get kicked perma from station and ur asserts get jettisoned to space giving you a bookmark in journal to warp to it much like grabbing resources from planetary interactions using the rocket instead poco. no one will see it but u when warp to it. at least that is what I understood from ccp I don't do manufacturing just a pirate here browsing about youtube lol

you're right, it would not be fair to those that are making them now but i think a tweak to the salvage drops could be in the cards to reduce the difference when scaling from M to L or XL.

Im more like... rigs on all structures will have similar material composition it has been such both in Citadels and EC. There is no reason to do it cheaper.

but the EC is much cheaper than the citadels and you have way more rigs for the EC's, even XL is still 8 rigs to give all the bonusses, it's a guess ofcourse but i think there is something out of balance and that the chance is high some change will be made. we'll see.

You are forgetting fuel costs. I am seeing a HUGE fuel use on ours. Since your running 2 engine complex your costs will go up. 144 miles per week is a lot if you have your tax at almost zero like you said.

Would rather keep my Pos........... uses less fuel and I get material bonus on Everything I make not just the one or two things the engineering complex has rigs to give me better ME rates. As far as Pos fuel prices with so much planetary going to making citadel components and so many people putting up all these complexes and citadels up and they all use more fuel I see fuel going no where but up.

Personally I dont like the way Reitaru's are so cheap, they should have been more expensive than citadels and atleast twice the price they are now. In some time we have these blasted stations all overcrowding systems. I personally would have like to have seen that instead of reducing the price of larger rigs they would have complimented constructing larger engineering complexes over smaller ones a little more. I dont have any grief towards the solo players or small group players but if everyone in the universe wants to have their engineering complex it doesn't really make it special anymore, like a titan is a special sight to behold. oh well...
