What I appreciate most is giving voice to the narrative. Too often this IP relies on vague, far flung pieces of text; or pure conjecture; hoping players piece together the fragments. I greatly appreciate the attempt at a spoken narrative, which consolidates some of the information and provides some form of direction.

Lore-wise, the guy was gallentean intelligence officer, kinda technological archaeologist and then mercenary. Neither of those jobs involve mandatory or extensive public speech lessons, so while he's looking somewhat awkward, it is understandable.

Failed game update and event, that they rushed the end of, winding the event up 4months early, due to the media publicity about the massive battles and ongoing war at the time. This was likely a decision by abysmal pearl. Ccp devs will never learn. Botchedchev is unsuccessful. A complete waste of resources.

Its because of the war, and also because of the fact that, no matter how hard CCP *tries* to make new and interesting changes, we have people that push back and detest it because the new additions to the game change their playstyle too much. Basically we have a lot of lazy fucks who want new content but only if it benefits them 100%. In essence nothing interesting will happen anymore because of that.

Really hoping we aren't seeing CCP hinting at essentially giving capsuleers a chance to destroy Pochven. I think it's a region of the game that should stay but be expanded upon. Not a "long term event with an end date." It should be the new face of new eden. If it changes, it should be potential events for EXPANSION, not regression or return to empire control. In other words, consider it an entirely NPC version of faction warfare space. a nullsec like area within empire. For people who want nullsec without the bullshit politics of nullsec. Wormhole space KIND of fills this niche, but it's so secluded in nature, that you honestly need to extensively read up on how to function in wormhole space. It's essentially nullsec with extra steps. (Trust me, I've lived in wormhole space for a good year in my "veteran" life in EVE. The logistics for a small corp to occupy it are just insane. Constantly having to dedicate time to scanning the hole, erecting defenses to defend against invaders, and easily being wiped because a larger wormhole group decided they wanted to eradicate the plebeians they came across. Tail end of that year it honestly became a chore to log on. It was oh great, spend the next 2 hours of gameplay scanning the hole for any new connections, deciding if we want to keep them, rolling ones we didn't, setting up new bookmarks, new bubbles, etc. Then finally we could actually do the content in the hole, and go out and explore for either PVE based content or go on a hunting party. Then, as we had a weekly schedule to sell all of our loot. If the day marked that schedule, we'd spend the entire game session literally just going from our home to the best trade hub to sell off all our treasures. It literally became a second job. Note : On Pochven I haven't actually dived into the content yet. Took a break from EVE and now researching it as I'm returning. Literally just been skilling up my toon for the last year and a half. So really don't want to see Pochven die before I return and get a chance to really experience it.

I think it means the players get to decide. If a large contingent wishes to fight for Triglav, then Triglav will continue to flourish. If a large contingent wishes to fight them, then perhaps their numbers will be reduced. Either way, this announcement makes one thing clear: CCP isn't done yet with telling the story of the Triglavian Invasion.

I suspect Pochven to be the setting for the Eve related shooter CCP is working on. The triangle shape arrangement of systems would make it an ideal setting for a shooter with shifting frontlines / conquerable systems.

Pochven is so empty it has been a running gag among french players referring to it as "La poche vide" ( The empty pocket ). The last thing the game needs is an expansion to that emptiness.

I know this is unrelated and i don't play EVE i only played Dust 514 when that existed but i do look into it's lore because i find Sci fi settings interesting. However what i fail to understand after 10 thousands years this game takes place since the EVE Gate collapsed why has Earth not shown up you can't tell me they haven't developed New ways of Warp travel by this point so why haven't they shown up to reel in its colonies or something my only explanations are CCP are Lazy and did what they did with the Jove and told you about their existence but did nothing with them and thrown them away or Earth was destroyed along with the warp gate effectively making New Eden all that remains of Humanity even then the EVE Gate might as well not exist because they do nothing with it except having it sit there as reminder of New Eden's origins i just wished they did something with these things they put there rather then having them fade away while introducing weird things like Sleepers, Drifters or The Triglavian Collective two of which they done nothing with its just a missed opportunity if you ask me.
