It might be the pineapple serum that's irritating your skin. Some people don't have issues with citrus, but for a lot of people, the acidity can be irritating. You could replace it with a serum that's just straight-up vitamin c, because that would help with texture and tone! Just make certain it doesn't have any pineapple, orange, or lemon extract.
@berrylly2 жыл бұрын
worth noting you can also develop a sensitivity to it even if you've never had problems with it previously :)

i was gonna say the same. cuz some reactions can show up later even if she’s used that serum before and it didn’t break her out it could be doing it now

I used to get those little bumps when I had my bangs over my forehead. The glycolic acid toner by The Ordinary completely changed my skin texture, it's life changing 🙌🏼
@user-ce3rf2qr7v2 жыл бұрын
would u recommend it for sensitive skin?
@KlaudiaErszebeth2 жыл бұрын
@l I think it's pretty gentle, it's never irritated my skin even when it's not at its best. Pixi also has a glycolic acid toner but in a lower concentration, that one also may work.

I came here to write this exact comment... I used to have soo many milia and closed comedones i looked like a popcorn ceiling but i used the ordinary's glycolic acid for probably a month and three years later i still have zero texture and never even break out anymore. seriously a game changer and super cool bc you see such drastic progress so quickly
@elizabethbliss23992 жыл бұрын
@@user-ce3rf2qr7v i have really sensitive skin and it did sting to use for the first week or two but after that it didn't hurt at all.it's pretty normal for glycolic acid products to hurt at first but lower concentrations can help if it's an issue. another thing is it makes your skin very sensitive to sunlight so only ever apply it at night unless you're inside all day or slathering on sunscreen

So with your skin care you want to apply the hyloronic acid while your face is wet, so after cleaning add a nice hydrating toner (that might have hyloronic acid so maybe you could skip the serum if you would like) or just water, then your hyloronic acid serum. For the bumps I recommend a Niacinamide serum after the hyloronic acid (this can also be the beginning steps to your night skin care),then the vitamin c, your moisturizer, and then the most important, a good SPF 50. Also for the bumps/ texture, at night time you could get a stronger retinoid product or use an aha bha serum instead of the retinoid on some nights. Just switching between the two, never using them the same night. Maybe give your face a break once or twice a week and just use the hyloronic acid, Niacinamide, and your moisturizer at night. That might help.

Niacinamide from The Ordinary totally removed my tiny forehead 'spots'. If I stop using it they come back fairly quickly too. Good recommendation.

I struggled with texture and the odd little bumps on my forehead for a few months ago (I believe they were comedones, so never actual spots just little bumps) and I started to use the smoothing cleanser from Cerave and it worked wonders for it, helps with other texture too and just smoothes out the skin and helped with any actual spots that I had. I used it in conjunction with the CBD face cream from The Body shop, which is aimed at stressed skin, rather than acne prone skin. Love this haircut and final makeup look it’s so cute , happy to see you posting again 💕

my texture started changing once i got better about moisturizing and drinking water. i don't drink a ton of water, just more than i did before which was almost nothing. i also don't wait to put on my moisturizer. pat dry just a bit and immediately apply my lotion (i have always used my body lotion on my face), then apply more later if it feels dry or if i am not gonna use sunscreen

I used to get sooo many little bumps all over my face and the more stuff I would put on it to try and help, the worse they got. I learned my lesson on "less is better." I wash with cerave hydrating cleanser once a day instead of twice like I used to. Moisturize with cerave hydrating moisturizer and occasionally I will use organic witch hazel as a toner. Everyone's skin is different though!

Im an esthetician! I do like certain products in glow recipe, but that mask not my favorite, I feel like it’s not as strong and has too many other additives that could irritate. I would use the Paula’s Choice Retinol, Bakuchiol treatment with peptides and vitamin c. Bakuchiol is a natural retinol in addiction to the retinol, plus vitamin c which help brightens and tightens the skin as well as making is even and smooth, then you’ve also got peptides which help smooth but also restore the skin. And then as for moisturizer I would use The Inkey List Peptide moisturizer, it’s thick and very hydrating but also light enough for makeup. And those peptides will restore the skins natural moisture.

YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO GOOD!! What is that cut called? It’s so cute 🤩 As for skincare advice, I would advise to use more gentle products. Glow recipe contains a lot of fragrance, which can be irritating. I would recommend a basic, fragrance free cleanser & moisturizer. Vanicream is a great brand for both of those things. Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion is also great, but if you like something thicker, I would recommend Vanicream moisturizing cream or cetaphil moisturizing cream. I hope this helps!!

The texture kind of looks like it could be that your skins congested and the fix might be as simple as drinking more water or if you’ve recently changed something in your diet. It could also be one of the skincare products you use, especially if they’re ones you’ve started using recently. Hope that helps a little!

You should try doing henna freckles. Literally nobody knows that my freckles aren’t real and the nice thing is that they don’t rub off… I just have a ritual where i put them on once or twice a week and let them set for an hour or so, they start of kinda intense and then fade out gradually but they always look natural
@carlyfasoldt2 жыл бұрын
P2) ..That way you don’t have to have multiple products, all of it is in the one Paula’s choice. What do you use for a cleanser? I would recommend the Youth to the People kale and green tea cleanser. It’s great for all skin types and especially good for evening the skin. It could help with texture. Then as for other serums I would keep the Hyaluronic acid as long as there are no other additives. If there are a lot of other ingredients then I would just use The Ordinary or The Inkey List because it’s just going to be Hyaluronic acid, nothing else. Also a great tip for HA, make sure the skin is slightly damp. It needs the water to cling to because it’s a chemical bond. If it doesn’t have the water, then it could do the opposite and dehydrated the skin. Hope all this helps!!

I just stopped everything (I had a peach slices snail toner, a facetheory niacinamide serum, and a cerave am sunscreen moisturizer I was using) and only use the aveeno gentle feverfew cleanser and makeup remover foam and my skin is back to normal. No toner no moisturizer. Every few days I'll use mario badescu glycolic cleanser for exfoliation.

If you like thick moisturizer I'd recommend the cosrx comfort ceramid cream, it's really nice! Also i do agree with other comments about the pineapple serum it might be too irritating :( I'd recommend using a BHA/AHA toner (for the skin texture mainly, also you'd need to use SPF with it), a vitamin c serum (there is one from some by mi that has galactomyces and vitamin c it's really good!), and then follow with a everyday moisturizing SPF (like the cosrx aloe soothing sun cream which is really hydrating and does not leave any white cast) for the daytime :)

Muy skin-care tips would be.... - SPF each day (I think you've mentioned you live in Scotland, so maybe check which SPF level is reccomended for over there?) - using the Hyaluronic Acid on damp skin - ensuring you have a good double cleanse system for night-time after wearing makeup - ie. an oil-based cleanser or cleansing balm first, and then a normal face wash - incorporating Niacinimide for skin texture - incorporating an AHA for skin texture and under the surface bumps, but this shouldn't be used at the same time as the retinol moisturiser. I like the Pixi Glow Tonic!

Beautiful as always but one little bit of advice as far as skin care goes - avoid retinol! While it may appear to give you quality skin, it is a skin-thinner and will actually age your skin quicker over time. Vitamin C is a much better option for regenerative skin.
