He did. You can see the front drop a little half way through the jump. Back break doesn't do much when you have all that wind resistance.

It did, several years ago with a stuntman and a rocket built buy Evel's original engineer's son using the same blueprints with a few changes to the nose and parachute release. It's on KZbin. Not much publicity.

Geared way up for top speed because his run in isn't limited. I think he said 100+ at take off. And that jump is definitely in the 400' ballpark. So gnarly.

He did halfway through the jump. Hitting the back brake doesn't do much at those speeds because of the wind resistance pushing him back.
