Evelyn was simply the best of her generation. There were many greats during her career but Ashford was the class of the field. I always felt she was the winner of the gold in the 1988 100 final. No disrespect to Flo-jo but I simply did not believe her performances were not drug enhanced. And Wilma.........simply the "Grand Dame" of track. Seeing these two together was epic.

+Michael Johnson Florence had speed here entire career and didn't all of a sudden jump out in front like Flo Jo. Flo Jo was good but only great for a brief tainted period and then she retired for some strange reason. I don't believe EA was taking drugs as she was so consistent and was just better....but not by a long shot, just better. Smooth muscle tone speaks volumes to the muscle bound women of today who look like the East Germans of old...who we all learned were juiced up. EA will always be my favorite since I was blessed to watch her run her entire career.

She changed coaches, she and her husband developed new training methods, which brought the long-awaited success, in addition to the work put in. A statement from FloJo and her husband, Al Joyner: “I know exactly what people say about me,” he said. "And that's just not true." I don't need to use drugs. If they want, they can come for testing every week of the year. I have nothing to hide." Her husband says all the talk boils down to jealousy. He said his wife's astonishing gains are the result of being "trained as a man." He added: “We bought a $150 leg exerciser and he did leg rolls every night. Over 20 pounds every night to add strength to your legs. He worked 12 hours a day.” Only those who have nothing to hide say so. Do 12 hours of leg training a day for months and you'll set the world record👍 There are interviews with her from 1984 where her voice is exactly the same. She always had a deep voice. Her voice is also deep in the training video made in 1994, even though she hasn't competed in years. FloJo's death was caused by an epileptic seizure due to a congenital brain disorder, sadly drowned RIP❤ Florence Griffith Joyner retires from the field On February 22, 1989, five months after the Seoul Olympic Games, Griffith Joyner announced his retirement from track and field. When discussing his retirement with Liguori, Griffith Joyner said: "I retired in 1989 because I could no longer train at 100%, the way I used to train. If I can't give it my all, I don't want to give it at all." Griffith Joyner moved on with his life. She became a mother, pursued fashion design and continued to combine sports and style. He even designed the 1990 NBA uniforms for the Indiana Pacers. Your claims are ridiculous. You have no evidence, you are just throwing words around irresponsibly. If you know any evidence of fraud, bring it up, because you can't prove anything with lying words. The 100m and 200m world record holder is FloJo, these are the facts. Do you have any more questions?

@@Hever73Everyone has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. You are the accuser, the burden of proof is on you. Your assumptions are ridiculous because you have no evidence whatsoever. You are just spewing empty words without evidence. You must be an accuser. You write down assumptions, turn them into facts, and try to set them up as evidence. Your success is doubtful. My question to you: When and where was Flo Jo caught?
