Hey! I have a question- on the back panel, the # of rows of ribbing = number of stitches once you get to the “body” portion. The pattern says to crochet into the first stitch, skip two, crochet the next stitch, etc. how is this possible if the # of stitches isn’t a multiple of 3? For example, M is supposed to be 88 stitches, but 88/3= 29.3333. What am I missing?!
@eileenmichaud58989 ай бұрын
I have everything I need to start this cardigan. I'm making a swatch so I crocheted 25 FSC and worked row 2 of the main body of the back panel for 12 rows. I must crochet a little tight because 12 rows was a little over 3 inches in the height of the swatch. The width was 7 1/2". My question is if I add a few more rows to make the swatch a 7 1/2 x 7 1/2" square, will that affect my gauge, or should I use a larger hook and crochet another swatch. I know that I have to measure 4" within the square for the gauge. Also, is there enough yarn included in the pattern to make a couple of swatches. I'm just checking before I start this project. I can't wait to get going on this one! I really love your patterns and the instructions and video are great. Thanks so much!

Hi, you said to divide the sleeves in half to make sure the center of the sleeve is on the shoulder seam…half of 55 is 27.5. Should I aim for 28?
@ophiontsal4107 Жыл бұрын
Hi! I made this cardigan but it does not fit like the picture you showed. It’s more form fitting, not oversized like your picture. It would be helpful if by he picture you listed what your measurements are and what size cardigan you’re actually wearing so that people know how much to size up. Also, it feels weird /uncomfortable in the underarm. Not sure if others have a similar discomfort. But maybe you can adjust the pattern to fix that? Just wanted to pass on this feedback. 💛
@LemonFlavoredDraino Жыл бұрын
Hi! If you look at the written pattern in her bio you will see measurements and the size she is wearing! Happy crocheting!
@Lisa-dn2gx11 ай бұрын
Just an fyi, her measurements aren't exactly accurate, in particular the sleeves. When you make them you have to take in account the portion of the back & front panels into the overall length of the sleeves. I've made several & my sleeve measurement length is 17 inches (including the ribbing row in the overall length). You still have the slouching but it's not way to much as the written pattern states. It's a easy pattern, but I found the written is to wordy & made it overly complicated than it needed to be. She's done a very beautiful end product, there's no doubt! It would have been helpful to know the end count of stitch repeat (1sc 1 hdc 1dc) in each finished section.
@stilllookingfortreasure6 ай бұрын
Everyone's gauge and tension is different though, so even with the measurements listed on the pattern, yours might not look the same as hers. Mine ended up fitting loose after steam blocking, but I crochet loosely. If you haven't done it yet, block it using a method your yarn allows.

I’m struggling to determine which size on the pattern will fit my daughter in the same way yours fits you. I’ve measured the width of her shoulders, which is 18, but then how much should I add to that in order to get the slouchy look as shown here?
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet27 күн бұрын
Hi! You'll want to measure around her bust. Take that measurement and find it on the size chart under the "to fit bust" category. Then make that size it's under! You do not need to make any adjustments for a slouchy fit, the positive ease is already written within the pattern to naturally fit that way!

I love this desing so much, thank you for the tutorial and written pattern, both are easy to follow. I'm a beginner in crochet, so far i've only made flowers and beanies and this is my first time trying to make a piece of clothing so I'm having this "issue" that I don't know if it's normal or not XD but the panel gets wider as I go even though I have the same number of stitches that I have in the ribbing (I count them each time I finish a row) am I doing something wrong?
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet Жыл бұрын
The main panel will naturally widen out a bit more than the ribbing, because of the stitch difference! How much wider is yours getting? If by just a bit you are probably fine, but you can check the width of the size you are making on the size chart and compare it to what you have!
@dihanha Жыл бұрын
@EvelynAndPeterCrochet thanks for answering my question. It's getting bigger by 1 or 2 inches, I think is going to end up being an oversized cardigan XD I'm doing a size S and I think it'll be more of a M, but I'm not bothered by it, I just thought I was doing something wrong, thank you so much again
