Pretty visual effects are nice, but in terms of UI design clarity is what's important. If the effect can be added without causing confusion for new players ('omg what's this is it another effect i don't know about?!!!') or obscuring other info, then sure. Generally speaking, keep it subtle: cards should look nice, but still be easily readable. And yes, Draven, we know you don't DO subtle.

at this point im not sure if runeterran champions make deckbuilding more flexible or restrict it. with jhin it was actually interesting, but bards and evelynns origins feel very restrictive.

@@Levixne restrictive? maybe. I think her deck building capabilities are fine tbh. My only problem with it is the 3 cost 2/1 is not a 1 or 2 cost. I feel it's too expensive. And that's the one you want to keep on board. She technically goes with everything though. So I wouldn't call it completely restrictive.

@@manwithnoname9580 Bard's and Evelynn's are definitely restrictive. In Jhin's case you can pull cards from every single region. These two? Yeah no. Not only do you not get "access to other regions", but they're curated cards to only work with them and no one else. Making cards that can ONLY be played with specific champions is parasitic design. It's one of the reasons I detest Yugioh. Imagine if that instead Bard's origin allowed you to use any card that buffed allies, or Evelynn's allowed you to use any card that mentioned last gasp? Those would be much more interesting and would allow for more variance in builds. With Bard or Evelynn as it is now the best decks will always play the best cards from their origins, if they continue to make more for them.

@@kiorodjirane8517 Doesn't matter if the meta pair is Jhin and Annie, I wasn't talking about their pairings at all. I was talking about what cards they're able to offer in deck building. Bard and Evelynn will NEVER allow you to build a big brain deck, because the only cards they give you access to is a small group specifically designed for them. You will ALWAYS know what to expect from those two. Jhin? Sure, maybe they're going meta, but maybe, just maybe they have an oddball deck that will throw you for a loop. And since Jhin's origin is so unrestricted on building his card pool will only grow with every single set. Bard and Evelynn won't.

Very disappointing. The demon that lures people with lust to murder them and relish in it... ends up being a big random keyword stat stick. Her followers completely cheapen the champion concept. The origin does nothing and is simply a 'you can only play me with 1 region + my package' limitation. Very sad as Eve is one of my favorite chracters.

Husks are actually gonna be underrated ... They grant their stats and keywords permanently... Her whole archetype is basically "gice the next minion +1/+1 or +1hp... Heck maybe even +2/+2 you cycle husks like a mad man... Keep in mind that you dont play husks. You play cards that summon them, so at worst your playing a 2 mana 1/3 grant your nect minion played +1hp... Ehich is actually pretty good

Ok something that’s really bothering me with Worldwalker is that it does not feel like we’re using “a bunch of cards from a bunch of regions” because the only cards we can use with Evelynn are… the cards released alongside her. Same with Bard, he was released alongside the Chimes. When Jhin was revealed, people started theorycrafting what other cards we could combine, but instead of opening our options, Worldwalker cards have severely limited them.

The theme is nice... but at the end of the day it's just a 5/5 with random keywords. We have seen it with viktor and pantheon and has always been toxic gameplay until the champion (or archetype) is nerfed to the ground. Even kai'sa is a keyword soup champion (at least she is more interesting)... this one is just lazy... She might be strong (probably is) but there is so much missed potential for evelyn, RIP.

Oh and she does have stealth so she should have baseline elusive, right? Oh and let's not forget she's full build so we ought to give her 6 items from path of champions. Maybe make it so you see opponent's hand while you have a champ on board because you warded? Oh and by late game surely she has farmed quite a bit of the jungle so let's just remove entirely the six dead thingies in her leveled form. I mean, she should have at least 150cs. Do I have to keep going with stupid dumb ideas or did my point came across?

@@anghainguyen9951 Yes, we have existing cards that can do that, and they don't require Nasus to be played after the setup. Those decks don't see play. Edit: from what I've read, it doesn't count as a Slay trigger, if that's why you were referencing Nasus

Are they really making more RNG into this game? it's worrisome to see random in more and more card in LOR. it's just contradict with the core of LOR. elusive is completely a different lv keyword comparing to tough or fury. at least in POC, elusive is a epic item while tough is just a common item. Can't wait to see some insane highroll elusive gameplay......

Hmm, this is kinda disappointing. Her origin doesn't have a passive effect like bard or jhin, her followers are fairly unremarkable, and ultimately she is just another keyword soup champ. Overall, not a huge fan.

I feel like Jhin is the only interesting origin. Bard and Evelyn are just kinda ''play my cards lol'' and then what's the point to have them multi region? Tweaking Bard cards to all fit in Targon or Evelyn cards to all fit in Shadow Isle wouldn't be a loss of anything for the game.

Also the idea is to be a downside for eve and bard, it allows them to have particularly powerful effects because to access it you must give up a second region… bard would be unbearably op if he was just a targon or Bandle card.

A "Runeterra" card is supposed to allow more flexibility, but Evelynn is about as flexible to use as Pyke or Rek'sai: she is literally just a glorified region Champion, her deck requirements are extremely restrictive and concern exclusively her support cards, unlike Jhin or Bard who have a much broader scope to what they allow inclusivity for. Really underwhelming reveal.

I would say that she seems underwhelming but I said that about Bard and boy I was wrong. Honestly, it looks like she will be her best on SI where killing allies has benefits but we'll see.
