I think her lore is a tad okay the way it is now. It just needed some slight changes like how Ww tried to kill her for her heart. But with his new lore, he doesn't need that anymore. :P Rito might find it better off changing the lore entirely tho. What would interest me tho is how Singed came up with such a project to change to new Warwick into the killer he is today. If you read 'Engineering the Nightmare' and Soraka's lore (the end paragraph mostly) you'll know what I mean.

Hey I have a question that can be halloweeny. How did people discover how to unleash the spear of vengeance (Kalista) on people and is she bound by the black mist or harrowing like the others? The process of naming somone three times while nailing a voodoo of them to your door, then stabbing yourself with the black spear doesn’t sound like somone totally stumbled on it.

Chances are that the ritual started as rumors or ghost stories that were spread around. "Have you ever heard the story of the Spear of Vengeance, Kalista?" or something like that. How the actual ritual was established I do not know, but you do raise an interesting question. How does Kalista function in regards to the Black mist and Harrowing? She can only manifest independently of the Mist for a very limited time in order to fulfill her contract but we don't know why.
