Loved seeing your temporary sewing space. I think vintage clothes are so classy, /sophisticated. Sewing for over 50 years I appreciate things being done right and taking time to make it the right way. Always looking for tips and ideas. Also love seeing how other people organize their sewing spaces.

Ihat is a really lovely space to work in, I have spent my entire life doing embroidery, and other non-dress making sewing projects. I've just bought my first sewing machine to finish off sewing my quilt layers together (having spent a year sewing all the pieces together by hand). I instantly fell in love with my sewing machine and thought I'd try learning dress-making which gladly has led me to you! I don't know what most of your equipment is for but I'm going to persevere!

I VOTE YES - I would love to see your regular space. ^_^ As for me... I finally have my own office/yoga nook/creation station space! In the front area of my room I have a yoga mat rolled out and a shelf for props. Adjacent to that I have a large cabinet to hold fabric, notions, camera equipment, and other random items (aka whatever I can fit in there). I have a book shelf next to that cabinet and it is filled with my favorite books. After that area, there is a large L-shaped desk so that my computer, stationary, and office stuff is on one side and the other has my sewing machine (permanently) set up. Against the wall which is next to/behind the desk is a smaller book shelf with random tech gear and UFOs, and sitting on top are my knitting stash cubbies and goodies. I love this space - it is so lovely to be surrounded by all the things that inspire me daily. :) BE well, Tessalina

I am very Lucky since my husband created for me 4 levels of pale grey shelves all along one wall in the bedroom which was our son's when he was a child. So I have plenty of space for my vintage wicker cases and boxes full of laces threads buttons and fabrics. I can organise different places for sewing, embroidering and knitting with a great number of vintage books and magazines. I keep my patterns in cardboard filing cases that I covered with flowered wallpaper and I also display vintage measure tapes and sewing objects, vintage alarm clocks, vintage embroideresses'cushions, all the things I find in different "vide greniers". I would be glad to see your new definitive working space, I'm sure it will be very cosy !

Thank you for another terrific video! I too would love to see your regular sewing space when you return home. I’d be particularly interested in seeing your cutting table. I have to make one for myself ASAP because using mats on my dining table is a literal pain in my back! I was thinking of an IKEA hack using Kallax units on casters with a countertop cut to fit. That way I can add my oversized mats for cutting and switch out to a padded surface for ironing (I don’t make clothes, I make decorative pillow covers and throws so I need a surface big enough to fit 54” wide fabric).

Evelyn, you will have to do a video series on your sewing stash. I know what you are talking about how it will take an eternity to share it all, because I have and am facing the same dilemma. Your new sewing space is lovely and spacious. I did a video a little while ago on my sewing-sitting room, which was a lot of fun to do. Your gentleman friend did a wonderful job on the sewing basket and treadle stand. Thank him for all of us and me personally for saving such amazing vintage relics.

Say the video of you refashioning your blouse. See you found a tie to use instead of the white. Looks great on you. Your space looks great. At 73, I decided to take up sewing again. I sewed in my 20’s but never mastered the skill. Currently, I am sewing masks, blankets, repairs, etc. I have taken blue jeans and refashioned them into skirts for others. I have trouble with straight stitching. Your video hints are helping tremendously in my renewed enjoyment of sewing. How much is you school? I would like to refashion items. I look forward to looking at all your videos!

Luckily I don't have to envy you beautiful box - as I have inherited my grandmas box. It stands on it's ow feet - and it came with all the buttons grandma had collected! She was born in 1904, lived through harsh times (if you think was in England was bad, it was worse in Finland - no supply from US...) and thus she saved for example buttons from the worn-outclothing she used for mats. All the kids in the family have played with the button boxes... Only recently have I realised I might get to use even the old-fashioned ones!

I have saddle bag made out out old blue bean tops. I have it on my bedside table lots of pockets for my tools I bring it to the activity room to sew with friends. Evelyn, I'd for one, woud love to see your home studio and stash lol! I started out learning to quilt 1.5 yrs ago...newbie! Still will make baby quilts/throws for gifts...nothing larger lol! (I have a lot of quilting cotton stash already! Hoping I can use some of that for sewing.) I joined the Vintage Sewing School online a couple of weeks ago and love it, also, your KZbin videos. I play them and hear you say things in different videos (also "rewind" if I don't understand or miss something) time again and it is sinking in....if I were physically in a class, taking notes,....I'd be a failure. I love this format for learning! See it, hear it, ..MANY times, and eventually, do it!! I also appreciate that you DO answer questions in class! I am STILL having difficulty with organization, your space is so uncluttered.. Would also like to see the Destash.....Maybe that, too would help with my organization. I heard you say something about an uncluttered space leaves your mind uncluttered. leaving it free to create...something to that effect! :) LOVE your custom sewing box/table your friend made for you! Thank you so much for your wonderful KZbin videos, the online sewing course and of course...your wonderful, uplifting, encouraging personality! Lengthy comment, I know, just so excited about this new journey I'm embarking on!

I finally got cupboards (someone was remodeling their kitchen. But it still is messy.
