My husband of 24 years, my high school sweetheart and best friend passed away of a massive heart attack two and a half weeks ago. My heart is broken. This pain is like no other I’ve known. Thank you for this. I saw you Joni at our church in Redwood City CA when I was a girl. Must have been the early to mid 70s. I remember your strength and your painting. You are a living example of the love of God and mercy to be with you in such an unimaginable situation in your life. I can’t wait to see you running in Heaven some day.

I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's death, Marlene. I, too, lost my husband of 54 years suddenly three years ago. I understand that your heart is broken. You're right that the pain is like no other. I pray that God will give you the strength to keep leaning on Him and that His promises will sustain you in the years to come. I came to write the same comment that I see other people have written... I needed to hear this Word today... with tears... yet I keep seeing so clearly God is with me, with Bible devotion Words that match the exact topic of my prayer. I don't understand everything happening, but this Word preached here is true. If God has brought you to it, He will bring you through it. The valley will not last forever; there is an end to it. Praise to God.

Thank you Joni, I'm going through alot of health battles which is new to me! Since last November, so much that last week I wanted Jesus to come and take me away. Then I thought how crazy I sounded, that I didn't want to die yet. Who will minister and pray for my unsaved children, and grandchildren, my sister, nieces and nephews and friends. I've been out of work for 6 weeks now, I have a torn ACL. And next week 8/25/2021 I finally see the surgeon for my knee. I don't understand all of this, I know God allows things to happen to draw closer to him. This quote that you shared I have heard before,but forgotten until now. Thank-You so much! May God continually use you to share with others. 💝💝
