Interesting ideas and theories. I agree with the season’s question being “What do you play for?”, cause with the Design Force Saga over, Divinez doesn’t have the same direction it took before, so it’d be interesting to see what happens next. As for Nao, I totally get your idea and it would be interesting if they took it that direction. But let’s not forget that Raksasha still exists based on the lore, and if that’s true, then we may have her dark side return and have her struggle with it. New Bavsagra really should continue the no-multiattack route that popularized her, and I feel that she should place cards from the drop into her soul, or even give blessings to the rear guards. New Gripho’s the Viamance Bruce route, where I’m worried some of the old support might not go with it especially with the new DZ-BT06 Wretches. But let’s see where it goes. Or rather, grows. Heheh. Overall, I’m excited to see what the season has in store for the main, new and legacy characters, cause once again we have 12+ characters and hopefully the new 15 episode format gives us more moments for everyone rather than a focus on 5-ish.

@ aye, I agree with cast, cause it seems D is learning from the audience and their writing team’s mistakes. As for Sybilt, why I’m bringing it up is because: 1) As I mentioned before, Varga still has the Raksasha power according to lore, so no doubt Nao will still have the card. 2) Nao was possessed by Sybilt at full strength whereas Hikari only had half of Sybilt’s power, so it’s obvious that Sybilt will have greater effects on Nao. 3) We still need that Sybilt and Sperod card, cause I doubt those are simple throwaway art, and it gives more Malwyrm support to Varga and others. 4) We assumed Erika vanished in the past season, but she remains, so no doubt Evil Nao will do the same. Plus, I’m an advocate for good music, and I’m eager to hear the Fatal Finale one more time. Speaking of music, can’t wait for Michiru and Raika’s songs to return, and possibly the new character’s themes. Then again, if they give the legacy characters new songs, hopefully they’re bangers like the originals.

One thing I instantly thought about was Devine skills. Sybilt is gone, Gab is asleep, so there’s no creature to make any new Devine skills. So either they gave all the old decks buffs to keep up with the Devine skills, or people saw Nao fighting in a tournament and was like “yk, that’s cool, let’s add that to more cards”😭 But there’s sadly a chance we don’t get any new ones especially with Michiru having Ignis and not a new Drajewled

Everything in each PV will appear within the 1st and 2nd episode of their own season. Just like Season 1 which Nao taught Akina how to do a cardfight, and in Season 2 which Suo got beaten by Kuon. So, just as I expected again, Akina will get stomped by Kagetsu.

I think the new cyberoid , can bring back lock or even delete it self , from Brant gate cyberoid , most of them have deal with set orders so maybe her effects is to negate any normal or blitz orders equal to the amount in the order zone . Maybe good grifo is like living peacefully on cray , but I like to think of it as a symbiotic relationship, letting him stay in exchange for helping the ecosystem. Which I feel would be cool if they brought back legion . Maybe he can legion with any masque unit and activate their skills or have skill that further enhance the buff from the dragon tree markers

I'm hoping for some things in this new season. Good new support for the fated ones, that Erika plays with Gabwellius, that Nao uses "Rakshasa", Michiru vs Raika, Urara to join the frey (i seriously don't understand why Megumi and not her), new RevolDress and, most importantly, awesome fights. (Also why the fuck they didn't bring back Zakusa back, he needs a better Grade 2 ride line)

The reveals were so good. The new Lyrical surprised me, the new Bavsargra was a long time coming Sephirogila surprised me as well, it seems like Youthberk, Magnolia, and potentially Drajeweled will get something new in Set 8. Either way I'm excited for Season 3 we're eating good in 2025.

My only guess on Sephirogila is that it's self buff skill is a field buff now instead, kinda like your idea for new Bavs. I'm not even sure if it'll still use dragontree markers or either make a new marker that's treated as dragontree marker, or changes the effects of the dragontree markers. Cuz the dragontree markers theme just contradicts Sephiro now

So we're also getting a Mermaid Aqua Force deck, which given Flagburg's more dead than Buddyfight and Maelstrom is still a total joke she'll have to do some serious work if she wants Aqua Force to have some kind of impact on Standard. This however also means Megumi is still stuck going 0-3 with Elder unless they pull an Eugene and the new Magnolia is a RR which honestly wouldn't be that surprising.

I like Ignis as a VG. Of course the caveat is that it’s a G4 but I don’t understand the issue with getting a ride fixer and maybe another tool for them to use? Super consistent at what it does. Can definitely solidify it as a good deck if you can pressure with persona numbers turn 3. For ignis there’s no grade stipulation for its effects so it would definitely pressure super hard. Unless the ride fixer negates some of Ignis’ benefits as a G4? Thoughts?

Hikari Is friends with Mikoto and yuna (Both being LM users), now that Suzune has been confirmed to be a LM user as well i do think She'll end up being Erika's friend, Hikari and her ties with LM users in both present and future i see. Also i think she'll be the Suo to Erika's Akina, she does give me that vibe.

I think with Akina, it's definitely gonna a journey of wanting to get even stronger and not staying complacent with just 'having fun'. Now that he's cleared all the supernatural, high-stakes fights he can finally focus on himself, which also what his sisters wanted for him. Ignis is kinda falling off, so i feel like a ride skip wouldn't be all that insane imo, but any sort of considerable buff would be cool. That said, idk what they can really give it besides maybe scarier attackers/guard restrict since it already feels pretty 'complete' as a deck. I think Senka is likely jobbing to one of her fellow rising stars; Suzune or Raika. Hope Nao gets at least a decent arc, especially with Kagetsu being her master, though he does give me final boss vibes. Gui participating is interesting as there is an odd number with his inclusion. I guess he's probably a pre-event fight or will play in between rounds outside the Deluxe? I'm hyped.

His RRR are Schneizal and Dolbraig and both males. And I don't think anyone play those anymore since Fullblast turbo became a thing. It's like Youth the dude and all harem female rearguards plus all of them are just RR at max.

You’re probably not that far off about Akina having to figure out why he plays Vanguard. He might not have as long of a history with high stakes fights as other characters, but remember that he spent years of his life taking care of Hikari, even before he basically started Vanguard for her. Now that she is safe and well, I think the writers might lean into Akina basically having the dilemma that people coming out of long-term caregiving have of “now what do I do?”. This tournament would be a good opportunity for him to have an almost Touhya-like storyline of trying to figure out what he wants both in Vanguard and life, now that Hikari’s wellbeing isn’t hanging on threads. (Plus perfect opportunity for a Touyha cameo and a very heartfelt conversation between the two, come on writers!)

It's an interesting question given the similarities between these characters despite the different eras. It's not a clear win but I'd likely give it to Gaillard since his professional career is much more robust than Raika's. His accomplishments in the Euro league both solo and on a team with Kai, not to mention his ability to beat the likes of Kai and Raul Sera who were world class fighters. If Raika does well this season it's definitely a tossup though, particularly if he beats Michiru.

I wish divine skill is more like new mechanic like limit break, g stride, overdress, etc. which all mc have their own divine skill. For example bavsagra divine skill can equip more than 2 arm in one turn and allowing to get rid back row. Magnolia divine skill can stand and all unit get a drive check. Something like that.
