Is this your 1st Druid. I have the V1 and use it as my 1 bike for trail and park. I always feel its harsh and toying with a few options. Sell bike get new, see about a new suspension, or talk to a suspension shop to tune what I have. Being this bike is 4 years old now, I do get a full rebuild each season on my suspension, would I be better off just getting a whole new suspension set up. Also i'm running 160 front and 142mm rear with a cascade link. Do you have any comparisons between the V1 and V2 Druid? What are you running for front and rear suspension? I'm also 5'9" and 180-185lbs. Side note, I just got the Pivot Phoenix DH for park next year. Only have 1 day of riding on it at the end of last season. Can't wait to get more days on it to dial it in. I also got the S2 size. Thanks and cheers

It is my first druid, so I never got to spend any time on the previous version. Honestly, after spending two weeks in Whistler bike park on this bike, I don't think I've ever thought it feels harsh. It definitely feels firmer and doesn't have that super plush squishy feeling to it, but I think that's why I like the bike so much. It does only have 130mm of travel in the rear, but my god does it feel good for a bike of that travel 😂 it does get a bit rowdy (not massively so) on super fast downhill style trails, so the fact you've got the phoenix sort of ticks all the boxes in my head if I was you. I'm running an ohlins 38 out front with 160mm travel and a rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Coil in the rear and it feels awesome on everything I ride on a day to day basis (Scottish borders). If I were you, I'd get a suspension setup day booked with someone who offers the service because correct suspension setup/balance makes the WORLD of difference.

hey i wanted to buy the pivot phoenix and when i see lewis on the v10 i just know something wrong with the pivot can i ask why hes on the v10. btw great Video

The V10 is Lewis's own bike. He really likes that bike and has ridden it throughout 2024. The Pivot Phoenix we both tested was a demo bike that neither of us owned. There is nothing wrong with the phoenix whatsoever; both me and Lewis loved that bike!
