Holy shit that step sequencer capability is huge, the way you used it with the reverb sounds amazing. I guess I made the right decision buying this pedal, I just have to wait for 2 more weeks. Great demonstration of this pedal, especially the video at 13:30 sounds really great.

@LeonTodd I've. Been watching quite a few videos on thing AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE I and don't even have one. Where did you say that video of you telling how the 3rd ADA MP-1 came about?
@LeonTodd4 жыл бұрын
It's ridiculously powerful and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Remind me to talk about the ADA on this week's Q and A vid!

There were a lot of 'character' tones in there. Trippy stuff.

This is where character tones go to get their character tones :p

Hi Leon, I made/curated some really weird impulse responses for this pedal. Train horns, coughing, low sample rates, etc. Let me know if you’d like me to send them to you. You could probably make a video out of them, *plays guitar* “this is weird”, *plays more* “this is also weird!”

I would absolutely love that, sounds like a great topic for a video!

It’s a cool pedal, but I’m really hesitant to jump into newer stuff like this. Guitar pedals nowadays are worse than cells phones. They’re too fancy and overpriced, and as soon as you save up the cash to get the new modeler, either some other or the same company comes out with the next generation high tech stuff, and what you just bought is obsolete. I feel almost every channel now days is just trying to sell me something. I like the old analogue stuff. There is a standard, they work and sound amazing, and no modeler will ever challenge an od808 driven 6505+ through a Marshall or Mesa 4x12. At least with cell phones, it’s a main staple of your routine. Every time i turn around, someone is pushing a new IR modeler pedal next gen lol. I guess that’s the biggest turn off. I like the old stuff because there is no learning curve, and I can just focus on the guitar. The newer stuff just gets way too complicated. I like plug and play. It’s either flip on my amp, let the tubes warm for a couple minutes and go... or spend 20-30 minutes loading up patches, plugins, IR loaders, IR’s, effects... i know... I’m making excuses... it just gets my blood pressure up trying to dial that kind of stuff in.

Basically stuff like this is an instrument in itself, and like any instrument it requires an investment of time to get the most out of.
@IndependenceGuitar4 жыл бұрын
@@LeonTodd LOL, yeah, thats true. im still tring to fully figure out Tracktion waveform, OBS, Davinvci, plugins, IR's... what a learning curve. I see your vids and all these other youtubers, and through editing, it makes it all seem so easy... but its not. its a lot of dedication, hard work, and time. I spent 10 hours + editing my last video just for it to still kind of be crap lol. Doing youtube definitely isnt easy. I have all the respect in the world for the peopl like yourself who do it pretty much every day. its a ton of work and dedication.
