Forcing bone movements without treating the soft-tissue tension that draws bone into position has only created greater instability and dysfunction in my experience. Not to mention the long term damage added to herniated discs when “go for the crack” is valued more than awareness of the underlying dysfunction. Look up Fascial Counterstrain instead. It’s a treatment that actually attends the underlying Fascial restrictions that cause the dysfunction, which in turn leads to unease/pain-part of inflammation-and eventually disease.

I've been complaining of back pain to every doctor I've been to in the last 10 years. It has gotten to the point where I get numbness in my right hand so bad I have trouble holding small things. Every doctor has literally laughed at me and said "I'm sure it's not that bad" then refused to do anything. So I'm at a chiropractor almost weekly to keep me functioning. I know the doctors could probably fix the underlying problem if they cared to, but they don't care.

Orthopedist is where I started and then was sent to their pain specialist. I hate when doctors are dismissive. I advocate imagining before treatment bc the last time I went to one, he did not and felt what ended up being my still degenerated disc. I think it was a catalyst of getting my spinal fluid out of my flat disc. I wish you the best and hope you find better relief.

When you breathe out it gives more room for the spinal adjustment to happen… The lungs are powerful it’s like pressing on a ball that’s tightly inflated compared to a ball that’s only half inflated… Is that a good analogy? Yes you have to learn to relax fully… In the more adjustments that you have you will realize how tension comes into play squeezing off the nerve signals.

@@jamesmcinnis208 she got lucky nothing more. I was strung along for a year by our local and very trusted chiro until I thought I’d have to quit work because of the pain I was in each day, according to the chiro I had a spine deformation I’d need treatment for indefinitely. Eventually spoke to my GP to see what I could do, told me to see a physio physio, the physio called bs on the chiro and fixed me in two visits. The chiro was so far off the actual problem it wasn’t funny, so effectively was “treating” me for a year every week for something that wasn’t even there. Uncle spent most of his life visiting a chiro due to a back injury at work until one day he woke up paralysed. Doctors found out he had a fragment of bone floating around from that old injury that the chiro was just pushing around causing damage. Chiros are nothing but modern day snake oil salesman.

I had a chiropractor about a year ago work on my neck. Now I have a broken neck, constant headaches, dizziness and nausea and need surgery by fusing my neck. I simply can’t recommend them.

I've cracked my neck for years and it's so wobbly and loose that I'm afraid to go to a chiropractor and then snaps my neck completely out of alignment and kills me.
@followingtheroe1952 Жыл бұрын
You can see as they do their adjustments that they knead or wiggle the area they are going to work on to detect how compressed it is. They would be able to tell that you self-adjust before they do anything.

I realize two things when watching his amazing adjustments: A) How advanced his techniques are and how much thought he puts into his craft... B) How primitive my chiropractors technique is and how little thought he puts into his craft... Bottom line...this guy is the real deal. My guy seems to be mailing it in and giving "Half assed adjustments".

A LOT of 'chiropractors' do, just to keep u coming in more often. I fired several of mine who'd barely adjust me cuz I know better. Dr. John Bergman & his crew in Huntington Beach CA are still hands-down THE BEST I've had in over 35 years of my chiropractic care!
