Evening Prayer Blues - David Davis

Bluegrass artist David Davis & The Warrior River Boys of Alabama perform the Evening Prayer Blues. The tune was written and performed on harmonica by a long time gone Grand Opry star by the name of Deford Bailey. David's arrangement is for mandolin.

this arrangement is very different from baileys original version. the mandolin ( davis ) is playing almost note-for-note monroes version in which monroe plays the melody thru out, with no other bluegrass boy taking a break. both ways are wonderful

Best version of this tune since Bill Monroe and I don't care who else you want to consider -- smoking, soulful and compelling, and consuming -- i.e., I liked it.
