Every time you release a new track, I find myself in awe while listening to it. Your work is, quite literally, awesome. I can think of no better word for it, but 'amazing' and 'incredible' come to mind, as well. You truly have a talent for composition. Both your orchestral and electronic music blow me away. I have near-zero doubt that you will go places, man. I hope to see your name on movie soundtracks in the future.

Okay I'm going to try to explain why I hate and why I love this tracks ... First, let me say that I truly love DnB, and you're for me one of the greatest artists the brony fandom made me find. I guess that in this track, you tried to make something a bit different than the usual type of DnB you make (like Destinations). A more sustained track with more effects I think. The intro (0:00 to 0:20) is merry, sounds a bit like your Hearth's Warming Eve track, the bell bassline make a sweet melody, and the light drumline matchs pretty well with it. Then goes that weird pitched sampled voice that we are going to hear along the track D:. I don't wand to sound rude, it's just not my taste at all. I love voices and repeated samples in DnB tracks, but when it's over-edited and we don't even get what is said because reverb blurs everything, my tooth grind. After 0:22, the bassline starts to grow in power, that's cool, it takes the listener with it, deeper in the melody ... BUT ! (start clearly hearing it near 0:37) that noise going higher and higher-pitched till the drop make an horrible effect. It would work with a more heavy DnB style, or some Neurofunk, but not with a merry melody like there is here. After there is some deep bass, floating, following very well the previous drop. If the voice over it wasn't edited like that, the ensemble would sounds pretty well. With that part, we went from a merry music to a fantasist one. That's an interesting transition though I'm not a huge fan. After the second drop (1:28), we enter in my favorite part of the track. Good drumline, not to speed, not to slow, a bit classic but well .... it's drum'n'bass (wat'cha gunna do ?) so it's perfect. The bassline, still deep bass and a punchy melody, matches well the track. The other background effects give more matter to the melody, it's great. This part just give me the wish to run and jump everywhere, in a bright city at night. It keeps getting better and better till the song ends (except for this annoying voice D:). The last part (4:23 till end) chills out the listener, it's relaxing, that usually what I like to hear at the end of a DnB track. Well, you have my point of view, I don't know if it will help you or anything, but I'm glad to have shared it with you.

Evening Star thank you sir! I've always loved lyrics to sing to. Heck, I've tried to put lyrics to some of your songs that don't have them. It takes a while though, and inspiration comes and goes. But, all the same, keep up the amazing work Mr. Warner. You do such amazing work. ^_^

Blaine Winans What songs have you put lyrics to? I'm the same and love to sing along (even though my singing is terrible.)
@CurlyHairedRogue10 жыл бұрын
Leonexus Random well, like I said, inspiration is a tricky thing, but I suppose the closest I've got is Hearth's Warming Eve. On this day, chilled hearts melt away, Although we, snow and ice receive. Raise voice and rejoice this holiday, On this grand Hearth's Warming Eve! Gusting by, the air is alive, With songs of the peace achieved. From which our happiness derives. On this grand Hearth's Warming Eve! (2x) Ooohhh! The fire glows! Its warmth grows! And thus, we forget our woes. The people of, The Earth and Sky, And mountains high, Join as one, and our spirits rise! *chorus of oohs and aahs, until the bridge closes* Brave the cold! Come all, young and old! As far as our voices reach! Join the feast at least! There be no toll! On this grand Hearth's Warming Eve! Gather 'round and drink in the sound, Hearty laughs! Ye be not deceived! Not a care or an agony be found, On this grand Hearth's Warming Eve! (2x) That's all I have for it, although I'd like to think I did well.
@LeonexusRandom10 жыл бұрын
Blaine Winans I just listened to the song with your lyrics, and I agree it sounds good. I don't know how good your singing is, but if you can make a video with these lyrics (and Evening Star's permission) I think it would be awesome. Keep working on it.

Disregard what BOB THE BOB as I feel like he understands how to put out what he said properly and in a better mannered way. What he calls repetition, I call your distinct style and I thoroughly enjoy your style. What he may be getting at is that its always good now and then to experiment with new styles, maybe go outside your comfort zone and try something new. Now I'm not speaking for him but this is what I got from him. As for the song directly, I love it to be frank. I love whatever this genre of music is because its both active and soothing, if not, a tad over with the bass. I love your songs but here's is what I have to say about it. At around 2:09 to around 4:28, that background of what I can't tell what it is (possibly marimbas?) but its a cycle of arpeggios or a specific rhythm that is repeated to almost all the way to the end. I feel like that could use some change up as it feels a little repetitive but even then, the song itself changes around it nicely around 3:20 but starting around the 3:56 point, it just sounds outplace. I feel like its off time with the song itself but it also doesn't. Regardless, love the song and keep the the good work. I look forward to your next song.
