After the Plum Rainy Season ended, temperatures soared. Shanghai has ranked as the hottest city for consecutive days. Although the reported temperature is 38 degrees Celsius, it feels like 42 degrees. People stay indoors and only come out for exercise in the evening. Despite the heat, tourists still crowd the downtown area day and night during the summer holiday.
