I think all new ships have great fit and finish. The issue is for ships that took nearly a decade to make. They can’t scrap the old stuff built so they have to finish with the new stuff. Old designs are just worst

This may be one of the best-refined fighters we have to this date. I have long waited for another heavy fighter with interior space and my prayers have finally been answered. For me, it is the perfect ship to go out alone and do a few combat missions without the requirement of another player. It will probably be my favorite ship for a long time on the solo combat ship side.💙 Thank you for posting this great video so quickly!

Thanks for the vid! I grabbed the QI version to replace the Scorpius Anteres I usually fly solo. The fact a solo heavy fighter with an interior came out has made me one happy camper. I did consider the base variant, but felt that the slightly reduced speed and manoeuvrability of the QI model was a fair trade for the QED it comes with.

Just upon first impressions I think I'd stick with a Vanguard. Mainly because of the ramp. That gives you the option to try to cram a box or pulse hover bike in the back. The Guardian's lift looks like it stops anything but a single person from entering.

I admit I have never been a fan of heavy fighters but wow the Guardian is nice. You are right, these guys are getting so much better at ship interiors. As an owner of a Vanguard Harbringer I hope the gold standard (when/if it comes) emulates their increased know how with interiors

I can't wait to get home and try it out myself. I LOVE all the details and accessibility they gave the ship, like being able to access a weapon rack and storage from outside the ship. I would have liked bigger shields but its not the end of the world. I would also immediately swap out the cannons for repeaters, even if they are not 'meta'. I just prefer more dakka over bigger pew pews, lol. On a side note, I wonder how this would have been with 4 size 4s. Might have been too close to a Tie-Advanced or something from Star Wars, lol.

I absolutely love the placement of lockers on this, so strategically placed it's impressive. I do find it a little weird that the heavy fighter with the most exposed cockpit doesn't have a bigger shield, but some things have to be done with balancing in mind rather than logic and realism. Love the fact that it's a solo heavy fighter with an interior, but I'm not sure if I'll be sacrificing my Lightning just yet. Definitely looking forward to trying it to find out!

yup! IU managed to comfortably fit 2x1SCU boxes in the Component room to bring with for looting. its also very doable to tractor the SCU box in and out of the elevator, but its tight. I've started to just return to my Guardian when my backpack is full to load off

I knew as soon as i stepped into my StarLancer that the Guardian was gonna be an instant buy for me. Stayed up late to buy the QI. Fit and finish so good. I dont think she released OP either, not too maneuverable, but not crap either. QI has the same maneuvering profile as the F8C. Standard guardian slightly outrates it. This years ships have been works of art

very curious how the Guardian compares to the Scorpius The Guardian's wings kinda protect it's bigger guns while the Scorpius' guns can easily get shot off, while the scorpius has a copilot for a turret which could make up for it. honestly, if the Guardian had just a *little* bit of cargo space, it'd easily be my daily runner but that lack of cargo space puts it into comparison with other combat ships which idk how well that actually holds up but 2 size 5 pilot weapons does sound *very* nice

I’m deciding between the MIRAI Guardian and the Ares Inferno and need your input. I’m looking for a ship to attack large targets like the RSI Polaris or Idris. However, I’d never attack alone-I already have an F8C Lightning, F7A Hornet Mk II, and Drake Buccaneer as escorts. Which setup would be more effective for taking down a Polaris or Idris: F8C Lightning, F7A Hornet Mk II, Drake Buccaneer, and MIRAI Guardian or F8C Lightning, F7A Hornet Mk II, Drake Buccaneer, and Ares Inferno? Would the two Size 5 weapons of the Guardian be enough, or is the Inferno’s Size 7 Gatling the better choice for such a scenario? Let me know your thoughts!

This ship will be fun and for someone like me that can't make up my mind on that one ship......well CIG gave me what I needed in this duo. I can live in my "SOLO" fighter now, say less. Unless they've changed it, no size 5 weapon has fast bullets. That could be a problem when fighting agile targets. Unless it's like the Vanguard where you can mount a size 4 in the size 5 slot. Then you could get something with a faster bullet speed.
