I'm a Sabre & Gladius main over in Pyro, and this ship is the closest thing in the game to God-mode. I've been in 4v1s where they couldn't land a single gunshot on the ship. Its lateral maneuverability is unhinged. Your pilot's consciousness will give out long before this ship's thrust does.

Just wanted to start by saying that myself and my community have very recently gotten into Star Citizen and we have all been pouring through your videos to help us understand ships and the game itself. You have built an amazing resource for new players and we thank you! Now, The Greatest Sci-Fi Villian of all time... is us. HUMANS Humans make the scariest sci-fi villains because they embody real-world fears. Unlike aliens or robots, human villains have motivations we understand-greed, power, revenge, survival-making them unsettlingly relatable.. Be it Capitalist Pigs from Avatar, Destructive Wasters from Wall-E, or many more. and if not humans, then the silence from Doctor who. nope nope nope nope nope.

For me, it is the Alien. Xenomorphs just hunt you without mercy and they can't be reasoned with. They also have acidic blood which could still wound or kill you if you manage to kill them and their stealth and ambush capabilities.
@fighttheknight-10535 сағат бұрын
I don't know if they are considered a villain since its a creature but the xenomorph's from any of the alien movies stand out due to its black sheen, its ferocity and not to mention that even if you manage to damage it then you are in for a world of hurt because of its acid blood. The prehensile tail it has is also pretty creepy the way it slinks around.

Because of the perma-landing gear on the wingtips, if you’re a good stick the wings can make for some pretty decent melee weapons in a joust 😝 even after they break off!

I'm going to do a different take and say the most terrifying AND complex "villain" is: Time. It's something everyone and everything adheres to, nothing can escape and has drastic effects on literally every single thing. I recently did a re-watch of Interstellar and got to thinking about when the crew was on the tidal planet for what like 10 minutes and it was FORTY years for the crewmember still on the ship. It's unbelievably complex and that makes it terrifying.

The Alien, there are no words as it mercilessly hunts you. The face huger spawning in you is the most terrifying way to die.
@ThaTrueMith10 сағат бұрын
Honestly, the old The Thing movie. The Thing is terrifying because it can perfectly mimic any living being, creating an atmosphere of paranoia and distrust. It isn’t just a monster, it’s a psychological weapon that turns friends against each other, as no one can be sure who is human and who is the creature. The most unsettling aspect is that its true form and motivations remain unknown. Is it simply surviving, or does it take pleasure in sowing chaos? The uncertainty makes it all the more terrifying.

The gravity generator is not necessary on a ship that small. Remove it so you have access to the cargo area within the ship. The floor of the cartography viewing area needs to be increased in hieght to allow a slightly better view of the exterior windows.

New to SC and this channel has been a vital resource in starting my journey. Thank you for making such concise and informative videos, really enjoy the content! Duke Vladimir Harkonnen is always going to be my pick for most complex and terrifying. From the obviously oppressive rule of Arrakis to the subtle sabotage, betrayals, and subterfuge, the Duke uses any and every method to get what he wants. I think that's part of what makes him so terrifying to me. Not only are his methods beyond cruel but all it takes for him to enact this is simply "wanting" something you may have. It gives a personal touch to his malevolence that makes my skin crawl. Even in situations in which he has a lesser hand - take the Bene Gesserit manipulating him into having children - he finds some horrendous way to make himself come out "on top."

The greatest and most complex sci-fi villain in a movie in my opinion would be count doku. He understands how hypocritical the jedi and the republic was. If he was the final victor in the war, im pretty sure the empire would’ve turned put much better. Minus palpatine ofc.

In terms of complexity and capacity for terror, Marco Inaros, revolutionary leader of the Free Navy in the Expanse, surely takes the cake. His pursuit of emancipation for the Belters sees him commit personalized violence against his cultural rivals, be they friend, foe, or family, and unparalleled atrocities against his historical oppressors. Throughout the show and the books, he relentlessly seizes upon the opportunities wrought by his perceived failures and weaknesses, and in so doing, forcefully redefines the power structures underpinning his personal relationships and the those between every major political player. Ultimately, these unchecked, self-righteous violations of human decency lead to his demise as a father and a leader.

In terms of complexity and capacity for terror, Marco Inaros, revolutionary leader of the Free Navy in the Expanse, surely takes the cake. In his pursuit of political emancipation for the Belters, he resorts to personalized violence against cultural rivals and to disproportionate violence against historical oppressors. He relentlessly seizes on the opportunities wrought by his perceived failures and weaknesses, and in so doing, forcefully redefines the power structures of his personal relationships and humanity's interplanetary society. Ultimately, his continued, self-righteous violations of personal and collective norms brings about his demise as a father, a lover, and a leader.

The Illusive Man (Mass Effect series). He’s a master manipulator, he believes humanity must dominate the galaxy at any cost, even if it means making deals with alien horrors. But even so he’s not outright evil-he genuinely believes he’s saving humanity, but his methods (experiments, indoctrination, and sacrificing lives) make him monstrous.

With the 600i's rework I hope that they not only fix the interior but make these changes; -Add a hanger for a 85x where the large rear window (bar) is at the top. -Add a vehicle ramp out the back of the ship between the engines, the ramp being only big enough for a G12 (/ Ursa) size. -Have the vertical cargo grids drop out of the bottom of the ship for loading. -Increase the bridge seats from 3 to 5. -Change the retractable top back turret for a retractable automated PDT turret. -Change the top pilot operated cannon to a size 3 retractable remote turret. -Reduce the number but Increase the size of the pilot operated cannons to 2x size 6, and move them to the side of the ship in front of the engines (under the overhang) -Swap the captains quarters with either the crew dining/ social area or the cartography room. . My reasoning; -Having a hanger for the small 85x would allow the crew to do flights away from the 600i as well as having space to transport a passenger, useful for both the touring & exploration versions. Storing the 85x in a hanger that's walled by big glass windows with a marble floor is very in line with the Origin aesthetic. It would be a showroom for the stylish 85x while also being an observation deck for the 600i. Other ships this size or smaller have a shuttle craft and it would make sense for this one too. -Having space for a Nova tank in a luxury ship as proposed doesn't make a lot of sense from a design point, however having a garage for the Origin G12 works well for 600i's role. Keeping the garage size only big enough for a G12 (/Ursa) and a X1 would allow more space to be used for other rooms. The garage being accessed via a rear ramp not only makes good use the shape & design of the 600i (using the 'duck tail') but also can makes accessing the ship easier than trying to drive within the tight dimensions of a lift. -The vertical cargo grids could lower to the ground through hatches in the bottom of the ship for convenient cargo loading -while conceptually similar to the Starlancer max cargo bay it would be done vertically with the interesting idea of bringing cargo boxes directly to their use areas; galley, armoury, medbay, components area, etc. -The 600i has a max crew size and beds for 5, however it only has bridge stations for 3. By increasing the number of bridge stations to 5, would make efficient use of its crew size and better use of its large bridge. -Change the top back turret for a retractable automated PDT turret. This would improve the 600i's survivability when being attacked while not increasing its damage output or resilience. Keeping it retractable still keeps the fantastic view. -By changing the top pilot controlled cannon to a forward retractable remote-operated turret would help cover the 600i's significant blind spots at its sides and above. (effectively bringing the top rear remote-operated turret forward) -Moving the position of the side mounted pilot controlled canons to the sides of the hull is to improve the firing angle and 'pip' position of those weapons making them easier to use effectively. The increase in size of those weapons from 5 to 6 is to make up for the reduced damage output of only having two pilot controlled guns instead of three. -Put either the crew dining/ social area where the captains quarters is or the cartography room. Either of those at the front of the ship put there would be a better use of the fantastic front window under the bridge. These changes are to make the 600i more consistent, appropriate and enjoyable while not making it overly powerful.

The most complex and interesting sci-fi villain, in my opinion, is Winston Duarte of the final 3 Expanse Novels (unfortunately not yet adapted to the screen). He is not only incredibly calculated and genuinely trying to help his people, but his ascent (descent?) into near-godhood is as captivating as it is terrifying. The man straight up deletes his primary confidant and scientist by just sorta... waving his hand through his face casually.

For me it's definitely AM from I have no mouth and I must scream. Just a supercomputer that wiped out the world and he tortures you for all eternety - essentially for shits and giggles. No compromise, no barter, no feeling other than hate. (almost) no way out and even if you do - there's nothing waiting for you. No chance to rebuild. No second chances.

Hyah, and thanks for the giveaway! The most terrifying villain for me has to be Madeline Mardrigal, aka MaMa, from an awesome Dredd movie. She utterly disregards human life, trades on sin and sorrow by marketing drugs, she tortures everyone around her and only by a hair lighter than to the death does so with her own goons. And the most terrifying of all is that she just simply passing on her own trauma, her own fate. Someone did a number on her and she returns the evil into the world twofold, tenfold, as-much-as-she-can-fold. This is one of the most awful things we as a species can do and she revels in doing it.

You asked about movies and shows, and I could mention The Thing, HAL 9000, Darth Vader... But so would many others, so I'm gonna talk about The Reapers, from the Mass Effect game series: I think they are a great take on Eldritch horror. Synthetic beings from outside our Galaxy that come by from time to time to erase all sentient life everywhere in the Galaxy so that life can continue to exist.

It absolutely has to be Magneto. The juxtaposition between him and Professor X, both just wanting what's best for mutants but Magneto willing to do just about anything to accomplish it, regardless of the consequences. Love him or hate him, had to respect that he stood for something.

Thank you for the informative video! The villain for me has to be one of the first ones I encountered as a child Apophis from Stargate SG-1. The facts that he was from an very old alien race that could take over a host's body and mind, that they ruled tons of worlds of transplanted humans. And that at one point even being revived after death really hit hard when I was a kid for sure.

Nomad is the best starter ship. Much better looking and pleasant to be around than a cutty black, more capable than an avenger, doesnt break the bank, and a livable interior. I will always recommend this to new players that want something beyond the basic aroura/mustang starter packs.

The valkyrie is by far my favorite ship in the game. It 100% needs a rework though. It needs an enclosed crew area, a larger vehicle bay/door, and a components pass. There is zero reason why we shouldnt be able to carry a spartan transport or a storm scout tank. Also why tf is the cargo grid only 1scu high?
