Great post sir! I’ve owned my H9 core for several years now, it is pretty much used for delays and verbs, but your video inspired me to start digging back through the crazier stuff this pedal can do, fun! Thanks again.

I’ve learned since I’ve gotten older that if you want something get it. I wish I’d bought my PRS years before I got one. Life is to short to not get the stuff you want. The harmonizer in the H9 is killer.

I have H9 Max. It’s amazing. The challenge is to find a use for all the algorithms. Some are outrageously cool, but can’t be used for more than highlights, etc.

I've been aware of the H9 for a long time, but never knew it had distortions. I thought it was only delays, reverbs, and modulation effects. I guess it's even more versatile than i thought, and closer to being a decent value.

Sorry to the haters, but I refuse to run my rig through a computer set up lol. I run a old Carvin X50B with 4x12 cab on the left side and a Marshall jcm800 4010 combo on the right side, it's a stereo setup. From the guitar to the small pedal board I have a MXR Wylde wah, Nutube screamer, Wylde overdrive into a Mxr stereo chorus and of course a AB/Y switcher box. On the Carvin it has a very old ART sge effects processor from 1989 lol. That seems to work for me. I just can't get into any of the Axe FX, which are awesome in there own right, but I want less time on the computer and more time playing. Eh it's just me though. Keep up the great content!!

Well shoot Robert!! For the first time in my life I was actually interested in a guitar pedal and then I saw the price lol. It's a cool thing and yeah I will probably end up getting one some day but DAYUMMM $400 to $700!!! Too rich for my blood lol. I loved the effects you got though, I mess around on my modeling amps with Octave effects all the time, they are so fun to play with!! LOL You cracked me up when you jumped when you thought you were on the crab setting lol.

Dude... hook up an expression pedal to the H9 and it’ll blow you’re mind. The H9 drives are pretty decent. The PitchFuzz algo should be run through an amp on slight breakup to unleash its strengths and not through a clean platform. I was able to comp my EQD Hoof quite closely and I’m really happy with that. The Crustation and Sculpt algos require some dialing in. But it’s key to have a drive pedal as a takeoff point to compare to and work from there.

As a novice, what is the name of the tool where you lay down, a base line, a rhythm, and maybe a percussion and then it just plays those over and over and you play lead over top of it. I just don't know the name of the tool/pedal. I think Black Horse and a Cherry Tree was initially created this way.

Which version do you have Core, Harmonizer, or Max???
@jonathanmoon93725 жыл бұрын
Ramon Pinon They’re all the same basically. The only difference is how many engines they have. They Core could be upgraded to Max by buying the engines separately. It’s cheaper to buy the Max if you want every sound but, if you only want some of them, the Core is the way to go.

@RamonRayPinon5 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanmoon9372 Hello Jon, thank you for the reply. I have a HX Effects which offers all categories of effects, but i really like the sound quality of the H9. Do you recommend buying the core unit and buying algorithms as I go or perhaps the Harmonizer version? I tend to use Modulation, Delay's and Overdrives on occasion some pitch shifting. Thank you in advance!
@jonathanmoon93725 жыл бұрын
Ramon Pinon I would suggest getting the Core and buying the ones that you want. I have the Max and I don’t use most of it. The algorithms run around $20 and that can add up in a hurry but, I wouldn’t have bought a lot of them. I just want it to enhance my guitar and not cover it. I used to have the Line 6 hd500 and I hardly scratched the surface. If you like to dive deep into your Hx, you might want the extra algorithms. They best thing about the H9 is it’s small footprint on my board. I’m kind of a pedal freak and like knobs so, it doesn’t get in the way and you can pack light for small gigs or practice.
