What a great demo! Very unique and amazing delay!! Just ordered one through Sweetwater Sound. Wish my 'ole friend Allan Holdsworth (one of my main influences) was still around. Allan loved trying new delays, effects, amps. Always changing, experimenting, modifying his gear...throughout his entire career. Was priceless to see his very first 1982 U.S. IOU tour at the Stone (club) in San Francisco. Thanks again, Pete!

@@PeteThorn, was aware of that last gig you attended which Allan played. It was just too far from my state to try make last minute arrangements for hotel nearby, car rental, ticket, etc., make it to his final gig. Had known Allan was not in good health for quite some time. Was one of the Pledgers to help Allan through a final project which didn't end up well for all involved (take no sides). Very a sad ending to such a legend's career and life. A brilliant genius, guitarist, musician, inventor. Passed away financially broke. Even a very close friend of the family had set up a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral expenses. Was an honor to donate for the cause. Nevertheless, was very fortunate to experience over 20 gigs between 1982 to 1992, while living in the San Francisco Bay area. His 1992 gig was the last time had spoken with Allan. We were discussing his current gear, effects in his racks, his frustrations with trying to stay financially afloat back at that time. His plans and offer to fly to England, record with his friend's band Mark King of Level 42 (monster bass player), upcoming LP (personally recommend to any Allan Holdsworth fan), "Guaranteed." The '83 tour was the first time met Allan in San Francisco. We were both talking about John Coltrane, being fanatics of his sax playing/music. My bass player at the time (originally from Montreal...who went on to work sound production for Neil Young), introduced me to Allan. Have to say Allan and Eric Johnson were two of the most humble and kind musicians ever encountered in my life. Allan's early tours and gigs were mind blowing. Especially the first and second tour (with Jeff Berlin and Chad Wackerman). Chad's another great gent/fantastic drummer, met as well. Also saw Chad once in Frank Zappa's band. Memorable cool gig was on Frank's birthday in San Carlos, CA. At The Circle Star Theater...during his '88 tour. Was pretty tough receiving the news of Allan's passing on April 15th, 2017. Gray Moore was another shocker to hear passing away at the young age of 58, back in 2011. Another major influence. The Thin Lizzy "Black Rose tour" was mind blowing. Gary's final gig at Day on the Green in Oakland, CA. July 4th, 1979. He bailed the tour right after that concert, due to a backstage fallout with Phil Lynott in their trailer. The previous year saw Van Halen's debut '78 tour. Twice in the S.F. Bay Area at Oakland Stadium (Day on the Green festival), Oakland Coliseum, opening for Black Sabbath. Eddie was another guy who was mind blowing to see live back then. Besides Allan Holdsworth, Eddie and I also both loved guitarist John Goodsall of Brand X. If you haven't heard of Brand X, Check them out. Great fusion band from England.

Love the music, especially the modulation at the end - wow. Does anyone know if (since apparently this and some of the other pedals like the microshift) are included in the H9 - do you miss out on any sound quality or algorithms for these by just getting the H9?
@morrisfraser72363 жыл бұрын
It’s the other way round in fact - there are more parameters to control in the H9/H3000 version of the algorithms. Sound quality and basic algorithms are the same. I use two H9s but might still get some of the new pedals - cos it’s great having all the knobs to turn instead of using my iPhone!!
