Forgive me if this was already asked, but can I use my pitch shifter pedal in my digital workstation like I would a plugin... mainly for guitar & vocals? I'm looking for something that will alter the pitch just slightly, but there aren't too many quality plugins that do this, & I already own this pedal. Sounds amazing, by the way! It's a shot in the dark, but I figured I'd ask. 🤷‍♂️

@@Afurthyclays Yes, it’s possible to connect this to an audio interface and route signal out of your DAW to the pedal and back. However, there is a dedicated MicroPitch plug-in that will make your process smoother: www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/micropitch/

why do you have to switch to line level when using effects loop?.......thanx for any reply
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Жыл бұрын
Most amps’ effects loops function at line level, so it’s worth experimenting what works best. Line-level is usually best

I'm wanting to use this in a wet/dry/wet setup with my wets in kill dry. Should I run this in a parallel path before my reverb and delays?

Is it possible to connect a 2 button external footswitch that will 'Increment and Decrement Preset' without having to push a button to load the preset?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio 5 ай бұрын
@@DanMarshall-j1o No, not with a standard auxiliary switch, however this can be achieved with a MIDI controller. For example, Disaster Area Designs makes the MIDI Baby controllers that are compact and can be programmed to control MicroPitch Delay in this manner.

In a wet/dry/wet signal chain with a stereo chorus, how or where could I connect the stereo chrous effect with the micropitch. The chorus has a mono input though. Don't plan using the chorus and micropitch simultaneously, just want both on the board as an individual option. Could I use a tip/ring y cable out of the chorus left and right into the micropitch set to stereo? I plan using the micropitch as last in signal chain.

Yes, that should work.

when using the one preamp stereo effects loop, should the 2nd amp be running clean as possible or does it just act like a right speaker so only volume is used?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Жыл бұрын
Correct, it acts like a right speaker. The second amp’s preamp section is out of the picture. In this case, we’re only using the 2nd amp’s power section.

@Eventide Audio Can this pedal self-oscillate like an H910?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Жыл бұрын
The MicroPitch Delay doesn't quite do self oscillation, as it’s designed to not get out of control. But, the delays repeat for quite a long time with the feedback turned all the way up, and you can make them gradually fall or rise in pitch like an H910, if that the sounds your after.
@Krikorparis
@Krikorparis Жыл бұрын
@@EventideAudio nope that is not what I’m after. I use the self oscillating as creative mode to make huge burst of bass or hi frequency scream, and I make us of the artefacts. I don’t understand why you guys don’t realize that. It is a bit like if you only think people use those fx as Phill collins did (and I like phill), there is a whole spectrum of people who did the other way. In dub music especially. That is just too bad, you should get the counsel of people with a broaden musical culture.

If I have in mono and only use the Output 2 will the output be mono or is it only half of the stereo? The outputs are too close together for most of my patch cables so it would be good if I can just use output 2 of pedal for mono.. or is this only one of the two delays when I do this?
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Жыл бұрын
For mono, Out 1 is the only correct configuration. Using Out 2 only will yield undesired results.

Can I use this as a standard pitch shifter? For example, if I wanted to go from E to F with only the wet signal on?....Or, simulating a capo, in simpler terms.

No, MicroPitch Delay is meant for subtle pitch shifts for stereo widening effects (+/- 50 cents)

For Audio Interface connections, is the following correct? Guitar cable plugged into IN on pedal with Guitar/Line slider selected to Guitar. One cable from OUT 1 on pedal to IN 1 on audio interface. One cable from OUT 2 on pedal to IN 2 on audio interface. Open one track in DAW (with amp plugin) assigned as Input 1 panned Left then duplicate track (with same amp plugin) assigned as Input 2 panned Right. Mono/Stereo slider selected to Stereo. Help!
@EventideAudio
@EventideAudio Жыл бұрын
No, the mono/stereo slider should be set to mono, as this only controls the input of the pedal. The pedal will automatically function in stereo when two cables are connected to outputs 1&2. With regards to your DAW-based amp modeler, most have a stereo version. If so, try creating a stereo track in your DAW and putting the stereo amp modeler on an insert. No need to use two separate tracks and manually pan them.
