You are a total inspiration, I am 56 and still trying to event, I had a tear with you, its OK, you deserve to be back in those tails, which looked fab by the way. Brody is an absolute machine but all down to you and his trust in you, keep going, know the problem with the back (two bulging discs for me!) do NOT doubt yourself, you have every right to be where you are, again, children and life take a long time to recover from, lol, keep flying the flag, love all your videos xx

You are wonderful Justine. I am 60 this year.. These vlogs give me inspiration . You look lovely on Brody.. he has such a beautiful trot.. very floaty. You know years ago I saw you at Blenheim I think. You were one of my eventing heroines. You still are. I love your old lorry.. I love the fact that you are so approachable and normal. You looked so smart and beautiful in your tails. Do not knock yourself you are flipping great. I have squished vertebrae also.. I have a western horse and all that reigning stuff is sitting. I have gel padded cycle shorts and a gel pad on my saddle. It really helps. Ty again for sharing. I look forward to watching you. Hugs from Germany.

Fantastic vlog. Justine, you are awesome. Brody is such a credit to you 🎉 He looks stunning and jumps beautifully. For a big horse, he creates such a fabulous picture in the dressage & he tries his heart out for you. Back pain is draining. It's a shame you can't have some sort of padding on the saddle seat. Having slipped discs in my lumbar region and neck, I felt for you in the sitting trot🫣 Much love to all❤
@lottiedahlin64743 ай бұрын
I have the same issue as you, worn out lower back, bone to bone literally. Shock damping saddle pad, Winderen and Shock damping stirrups helps a lot. Thinline has a good one as well. I also use a vest with magnets on the inside, believe it not but it helps as well. I'm less sore after riding when using it. Love your vlogs, they're so genuine and you're a fantastic combination. Well ridden as always and Brody is just fabulous.🎉

Justine, being an older rider is tough. Just as you said it’s the worn out body. The sitting trot is miserable because we anticipate the pain and tighten up making everything worse. My trick - thick back pad for my boy which helps both of us. Him when I don’t get it right and my body. I know I am preaching to the choir but the only way to get it is to relax the hips and tighten the core. I LOVE your vlogs. Please keep them coming. You’re the best and so honest!!! ❤️🏇

I’m struggling on my big moving horse to do sitting trot as well! I’m all over the place! Yet I ride my reining horse sitting all the time! I think it’s the bigger moving horses, I literally flap around. I’m old (61), and going back to eventing after a 25 year hiatus. 5 fused discs in my lower back, sucks to get old. You are truly an inspiration. And you look fabulous in tails!

Don't you look bloody WOW!!! and Brody was on Fire!! Well bloody done to you both! Top tip for nasty sitting trot (which should be banned as very bad for all horses backs, let alone ours!) I put most of my weight in my stirrups, heels down, feet facing forwards and knees will then stay gently on the saddle with ease and will keep your legs still. I've done it this way for 60 years and it works a treat for horse and my back! Nice to see you are looking up more. Well done girl, Brody loves you too.
