I would probably just note that DUrge's Storm Sorcery is his best specalisation by far - simply by way of allowing him to benefit from the Magic core. It's like an entire e6% more damage. Without that magic spec - he'd be forced to use the Strong core (Ewww).

Thank you so much for all this info! I was still unaware of plenty of specifics about Events 2.0 that you clarified for me. I honestly don't care about Dhadius pre or post rework, but I'm at the edge of my seat for anything about Durge. His availability alone makes me want to focus on him as my main DPS from now on. It's also pretty sweet that he has the type of kit I can relate to and enjoy using for my DPS. I'm still far behind on the whole Ceremorphosis thing, and I would have preferred an unaffiliated champ to be honest, but it seems manageable and as with Artemis and others, future champions, feats or changes will likely help along the way. Now, I have a pretty big decision to make. He has two pre-stack gear slots that both work multiplicatively and buff his own DPS. I have only one golden epic potion (and I won't get another one anytime soon). Which of the two will give me the most bang for my buck, in your opinion? Ceremorphosis can go to 10 stacks (or possibly more with shenanigans I'm not aware of yet?) whereas Living on the Edge seems to cap at 6 stacks, so the first one seems like the obvious way to go... But I'd rather make extra super duper sure before I commit my golden pot. He's almost guaranteed to have his 6 outcast stacks anywhere he goes (if I understand correctly, even if there was a "one city challenge" style of variant restriction, he'd have those 6 stacks ^^). The ceremorphosis stacks depends on how many champs with his affiliation or a tadpole feat are also eligible. I'll need to revisit all of them honestly, I seem to vaguely remember Karlach is available for any Zariel run, but she doesn't bring anyone else with her, right? Basically, if I focus on ceremorphosis, I'll be stuck with a bunch of specific champions to build my formation around Durge, while focusing on The Edge would give me more freedom on that front. But if I can reliably get more than 6 ceremorphosis stacks in most places, then being forced to use the other tadpole hosts should be more than worth it. Right? I might hold on to the potion a bit longer. I should start playing with him first and I should get a better feel for which gear slot is my best option for it. But I would greatly appreciate any and all advice or ideas you can throw at me in the meantime. ^^ Have a hell of a time in the post-Artie meta, champion!

I really do hope once they finish out the Absolute Adversareis they keep adding new options for Ceremorphosis Feats along the way bit by bit so he'll always have more to work with. Yeah, the Ceremorphosis is better scaling than Living on the Edge, the only drawback is you can work with Living on the Edge with any formation, whereas Ceremorphosis will always require other Ceremorphosis. Still, Cere is the best scaling so it's hard to not recommend it, you know? Basically, the conclusion you came to. But you for sure should mess with him and feel comfortable with your pick. Personally whenever I'm making a choice I always go with "In my perfect formation for them, what gives the biggest boost?" But that's just me. It will be quite a while before I can fully reliably use him over Artie because of how much I've invested, but he's now the goal! You have a hell of time with him as you mess with him too!

They gotta put up warnings on buying reworked champion chests. So you don't accidentally lose your full dismantle. Also sucks that slotted champions don't have new feats. Was hoping on Briv. Also I hate the time locks. Want to just do it all at once.

I haven't got anything for Dhadius yet, so I didn't know they didn't, and yeah, they really do. Edit: Yeah, Briv 9j Feat would have been nice for a lot of people. Or they really just need to change the current Feat to only jump to your current 100% jump.

If you try to buy a chest pack with tokens while the Dismantle is active - it will warn you. There's a line of red text about it. The problem is - as I've proven time and again by 100% scientific methods - people don't read - and they especially don't read red text. So I'm certain a lot of people will fall foul of it.

The Durge inability to work with Wyll is so frustrating. -_-# Will fewer new champions means fewer videos, or do you have other projects in mind? I'd love to have more formations guide.

I think right now a dedicated formation video for DURGE might be a good video to make (similar to the click debuff video and your other top carry videos) since hearing you breakdown a potentially optimal set-up for DURGE was super helpful but I will absolutely have to go back and rewatch that multiple times so I can figure it out. Having a solid: "These are the champions and abilities you should be going for every formation, and here are the other options if you can't do this." Would be super helpful. Especially since he seems to be a competitive DPS to focus on finally!!! (Edit: grammar.)

Check out the "Tokens & Chests" timestamp, you just buy them straight with Event Token now in the menu. It translates to about the same exchange rate as it used to be running 50's.

My idea of a feat to fix synergy for DUrge: Origin Character - Increase the damage of all champions by 25%. The Dark Urge's race and class can be treated as the same race and class as other characters that have Ceremorphosis stacks. This would represent your ability to customize DUrge in BG3. As well as fix the problem we'll be facing with Gale, and multiple characters with C-stacks having the same classes. Hell, I'd even remove the 25% all damage just because this alone sounds too strong.

I'm eager to see how well Durge will perform as well. He does have two different pre-stack scaling vs Duke's 1, but Duke works with a lot more formations. But then, Durge's availability is *so* much better. Both fun boys, though.

As Emmote mentioned earlier I did forget to mention that, yes. Makes him qualify for Magic scaling, and that's also very important for the Magic Modron Core. A good choice to focus on those to FE, for sure! Though of course I'd recommend Briv either way, unless you have his jumps where you're already comfortable with. As it stands the only Feats/Bonuses to earn so far are with Durge and Dhadius in the Tiers. Some boons could be potentially interesting, though, like Briv's reduced jump requirements. And thanks! In practicality - one round of 9-12 variants for tier 4-ing four characters at the start, if getting 1 boon, then 2 more characters in the final week. I like that you can access vaulted champions. It's a lot of "burning through easy variants for the sake of completion"-type feel. Beestingers Unleashed with Rosie seems like it might be a close-ish tough one to finish tier 4 for. You can smuggle in someone with Dungeon Master and use Dark Urge, on top of the base Rosie and Strix-only restriction. Doing resets to smuggle in... Zorbu maybe, with DM, should make it go smooth. Am on tier 2 of it and it's wave 450. The "their damage is increased in each area" variant modifier applies to the smuggled in champions can confirm, so, will see.

@tyredack reporting in: Strix is also seat 11, disregard the Dark Urge point, was silly. The "gain power every zone" buff in this variant is probably the most powerful buff in the game. My team of Strix, Rosie, and DM+Kent brought in, is currently at wave 1780, e535 damage. Probably e575 at wave 2000. Their ultimate cooldowns are all at 1 second somehow/all 4 spam their ults every 1 second. Shouldn't have any issues with completing the variant lol

I chose Rosie as my flex, then in the varient restricted to Rosie and Strix, I put in Dungeion Master & his chosen. This got me to area 2001?!?!?!?

You are forgetting one thing Tyredack, The dark urge works really well with the dark order trio if you want to stack the DPS bonus with him and Torogar

I wouldn't say he works with the trio, as that would mean you are actively using 2 exclusive DPS (Durge + Arkhan), which isn't something you should be doing. The slight increase to Preach by slotting Arkhan will not be enough of a boost to contend with another just flat buffer. And works with Torogar and Krull? Yes. But, the problem there is that goes against Durge's own scaling with Ceremorphosis, his best scaling, as Astarian shares a seat with Torogar and Shadowheart shares a seat with Krull. But good options when those aren't available for sure.

I chose Rosie for my flex slot since she is the only champ I didn't have and learned that only she and Strix qualify for the third variant. So, Rosie and Strix alone will have to fight their way to z1600 or whatever it is. I have faith that they can do it, Rosie won't let me down. Also, Strix gets a beestinger skin, so there's also that should Rosie be the chosen one.

The anti-synergy of AA continues to confuse me, but at least DUrge is strong enough that it doesn't matter so much. Daddy is also pretty strong now, though they removed the bit about Zariel feats from the blog post. I wish they wouldn't tease us like that. Honestly still a little mad about the time gate pieces cost, it is completely negligible for most established players so the only ones it is relevant for are new players. They get way fewer without patrons and the ToA blessing, and need those pieces they do have for speed champions and Mirt. It seems like an unforced error in what has otherwise been a pretty decent rollout of events 2.0. Also unimpressed by the value on offer as far as premium event blessings are concerned. There is nothing that comes close to the value provided by the season passes. Looks like the cheapest option for a blessing is those $9.99 event wild offers, so $40 for all of them minimum. Meh.

It really is strange how the more we get the harder it is to make them work lol. And yeah, I'm not stoked on the way they're monetizing Events 2.0, but I think they're fine without the Supporter Slot as well. I'll be missing Seasons, but I hope they'll eventually come back. Just hope they can get into the swing of their new schedule enough we get to see bit bits of minor updates and additions to the game in the meantime.

If "Durge's" ultimate trigger to resurrect him, how does Baeloth's ability trigger there? Should it trigger only if his ultimate is on cooldown? If "Wither's Resurrection" triggers... will Baeloth's bonus be gone? There are some other "don't die, my friend!" mechanics around, wondering how they interact with each other. 🤔

In general a "life save" type mechanic like Baeloth will proc before a mechanic that involves actual death. So Durge's won't trigger until Baeloth's has gone full duration. But yes, the actual revive state of Durge's ult will remove the buff from the life saved Baeloth, as he will have technically lost it when he died after Baeloth's immunity, if that makes sense.

I couldn't find any info anywhere. Does the briv jump buff from event stack with his specialization? If so, is it additive or multiplicitive?

I haven't messed with it much yet, but it seems to just be the same ability. The specific wording of "3.2% instead of 4%" seems to be the mechanic for both of them, so it's just the same thing twice and has no change. Think of it just as getting that spec choice for free. But, like I said I haven't messed with it much so I could be wrong.

It's for sure something to potentially look into for the future. I would say most of them are still rock solid. From memory the biggest changes would be Warden's Hex no longer being sticky and the addition of Presto being potent debuffer off the top of my head.

It's true he debuffs, but his debuff only affects him. It scales the damage of his own attack and that's it, not click damage or other champ damage unfortunately.

😂Yeah that one was maybe too much. I think there would be a pretty big backlash if they went too hard with the monetization on Events, but it's always a balancing act. And yeah, The AA (Durge in particular) is in some desperate need for aid in the synergy department. I wondered about Strongheart too. Thought they might give him at least some way to scale with Events since Seasons are on hiatus.

As a newer player, this is the first time I’ve heard the term “dismantle” used in this game… I assume as a newer player that the feature isn’t one I need to pay attention to yet, but I didn’t see any explanation in the game itself.

Yeah, like you said as a newer player it won't have the same impact. It will extract item levels, purchased feats, legendaries and shiny/golden quality gear as potions from the dismantled Champion. You can expect it to happen with any reworked Champion in the future.

Free to play here, started with the Epic giveaway (Mithral Hall season). For me, the new event format is unbelievably bad, because it replaced seasons. There is way less rewards now. I can usually get to area ~900 in the events, which means that I can only complete tier 2 now. During previous seasons, I was able to get a gold piece of equipment, some pigments, gems, feats and about 150 item levels. Now I get none of that. Sure, I might be able to get a slightly more chests (debatable since I was able to get 47 Acq. Inc. chests, which is ~ 9 per champion), but that doesn't cut it. This just feels like glorified time gate.

Ideally, we will eventually be getting Season back eventually and this will just be the new standard to Events in general. Probably won't be for a while (if at all), but hopefully. Both together would feel good, as Events 2.0 is better than original Events (imo), but if Seasons never come back they will hopefully be adding other rewarding content on top of 2.0 because I agree.

For my Durge that was on the lower end he's averaging 520-550. In my videos I generally just use the Speed Core, but for his best damage pick the Storm Sorcery spec and use the Magic Core as the spec makes him qualify for it. Now to invest in him and work on making him compete with my Artemis team.

As a year 1 player... who takes long breaks then catches up... I think Events 2.0 is the best casual improvement they have made. It also saves endless level 50 runs /reset / chest for each champion to get full epics.

You previously used the term "Nrakkable". Can you find a use for the term "Durgeable"? 😂 Maybe it means a new Champion fits well with an Absolute build. Also, have you thought about re-running your tier list? It's definitely leaning towards B+, A, so it loses a litrle bit of meaning when those rankings are so full. Thanks for another helpful video! I guess that might depend on how much more we're really getting for this merry band of worm-brained adventurers. I have thought about taking a gander at the ol' list and potentially doing some rearranging. A lot has changed in the game, and it might need another look. Maybe even with fresh eyes on it other than mine, but we'll see. Though, Champs leaning in the B and A is more indicative of the fact they're creating Champions to fit in a certain power level these days through the newer Champs and reworks. We'll see!

Depends on how you define better. In terms of raw damage potential Artie probably still wins out in scaling. But in terms of availability, Durge is unrivaled. And, with enough investment, Durge is absolutely competitive with his 2 pre-stack scalings.

I love those lists, and they helped me a lot when i was starting, thanks a lot for that. But can someone explain to me why Orkira, Pennelope, Krull , Baeloth and Aila are always S+? this week i finally capped all patrons blessings, i can farm z2000 boss without gimmicks, and i still don't understand why this champions are considered OP. They are ok to have in some nasty variant or so, but most of the time i wish i was playing someone else. On the other hand, Krux and Nrakk are absurdly good everywhere i put them, they do so much, my Krux at 154 Experienced sailor can buff close to e40, +debuff, + formation health, + absurd healing buff, knock back... Nrakk is E34+, and buff other champions abilites, and his debuff is INSANE, specially if you exploit it with DM, How can Pennelope and cia compete with these? IMO Jim, Val and Birdsong are easy S tier also, but i understand they are more niche champions for Artemis formation, so it's fine as A+ i suppose. Vin Ursa so high also puzzles me, still haven't found a good use for him, even when doing some of the hardest Xaryxis variation, i rarely had room for him, and he is free no matter the patron (for that campaign), pretty sure i might be missing some interaction or something. Anyway, thanks for the content, always a pleasure to watch and learn new things.

It's largely a symptom of how long the game has been out and how long I've been doing these lists. There has been a power shift in the game with some heavy hitters coming out shaking things up, and I will eventually need to recalculate the entire list because of it. That being said, simply pumping out the highest numbers in a Champion's Seat has never been exclusively how I rank Champions. Specifically Penelope and Orkira are higher because of their click debuff and pushback utility. Click debuff can be an important stage of the game for some, but admittedly has become slightly less important. Other factors, like roles, scaling, and availability will always play a part too. Also, I try to not take exploits into account for rankings. But again, that being said, I do need to take another look at the entirety of the list. And spoilers, haven't mentioned this at all yet, that's likely going to take place in the form of multiple livestreams where anyone who cares to voice their opinion will have a chance to sway my opinion.

I have all base champions in epic gear and working on Hew Maans ilevels (before Briv). Furthest i have managed is zone 950 i believe and i have all 4 split the party unlockd available. Admittedly i have probably spent over £500 on the game or more on store offers and habe progressed quickly but my knowledge is severely lacking. Appreciate these videos! If you need ideas for a video one day you could do formation and champion layouts(more accessible ones for newer players). This would not only help me but help others who might be overwhelmed with the game. Thanks again 👍

It's a hard one to answer sometimes tbh. It really comes down to what you want DPS you want to focus. You're not going to progress heavy in the ilvl department because you want to focus speed first, which is fine, but you also want to be running Trials of Mount Tiamat and start making some Legendary gear. That will really help you push deeper, but you'll want to figure out what DPS/kind of formation you want to go for. Artemis is ever popular, but isn't the greatest right away starting at just FE without investment. Still good though. Durge could be a good one to start working on if you like the AA team. Lots of people love others like Warduke, Krond, etc. Do you have any idea what kind of team you want to focus on?

Appreciate the reply! I am happy to use any team that doesnt require a lot of ilevel investment but realistically the game doesnt work like that. For a new player are level 1 legendary gear the way to go or do you have to throw lots of scales at levelling the gear? @@tyredack

Yeah, at the end of the day you'll be wanting to put ilvls into *some* kind of team, like you said, just how the game works. And that's also why you'll want to pick a team for pushing, because it's very much about using the scales to level the gear. It makes a huge difference to have say a level 1 at 100%, level 10 at 10,000%, or 20 at 10,000,000% since each and every one of them is a multiplicative bonus. Although as a newer player, it is good to at least get Level 1's on all your main pushing formation. And if you get one that doesn't fit your team (like say a female scaling if you're using Durge) it's best to use the resources to still just get more out there instead of re-rolling it quite yet. Might as well create a whole new one if you have an empty slot still instead of spending that currency attempting re-rolls yet, you know? Honestly if you're interested in the Absolute Adversaries at all they do make a solid formation. Now with Durge you get a dedicated DPS to the team, and with Lae'zel+other Ceremorphosis they also serve as a decent Speed formation. And there's more coming in the future for them to work with.

It's really sad that Durge was released with such anti synergy to then hear your idea that fixes it perfectly and know we're not seeing that for at least a year if it ever happens.

@@tyredack Dark urge and the evil spec are evil alignment. Torogar's preach buffs evil champions damage (i think there is still a bug in which makes it apply twice for some reason). Also his legendaries (as a side buff) at level 20 stack up pretty high buff as minotaur only give quite a damage buff. Twice so if you can somehow get hew maan (also evil) to 'spec' to also be minotaur somehow.

I see what you're going for. Only problem is you want Ceremorphosis stacks for his pre-stack scaling. If Torogar ever happens to get a Ceremorphosis Feat that would make him more tantalizing. But, also him sharing a Seat with Astarian doesn't help.

I'm unable to beat tier 4 of darkness urge final rub right now but got close. I think just good investment in him will get me. My current best formation is Avren and zorbu with relying on neutral Champs so the variant hits me hard but shouldn't be too impossible

Still didn't work. But kinda not upset even if inconsoder myself and end game player who been playing for years. Don't go out of my way to use exploits and 1600 is close to my wall. Still going do a good farm for the dark urge and see if that solves it. Only at 1e4 murder stacks

He's always a solid pick for an Evil DPS, but to lose a Ceremorphosis is iffy for sure.

In my current Ceremorphosis team Good is where I've been going, and his ult save can be a nice touch. Honestly, if you like one ult mechanic over the other I think it's usually close enough to just got with that, unless you do end up using Torogar, then clearly you need to stick with Evil.

I'm asking all these weird questions bc I just got miria, and I'm trying to figure out if I want to lean into torogar, or sticking with wyll and trying to go all good vs all evil, or if it's better to mix and match based off buffs and ceremorphis if they have it, or even focusing on magic attack buffs like Ulkoria.

I personally would say just lean into whichever is dominate, not specifically going for a full 10 (unless we one day get enough Ceremorphosis to make that an option). If you're looking for best scaling, it comes from his Ceremorphosis. Dropping one or two there won't kill his scaling, like if you're using Wyll and working around Folk Hero, since Folk Hero scales with itself multiplicatively per stack. Since Wyll can be so powerful *and* has a stack of Ceremorphosis I think he's better than Miria for Durge for sure, though she is also great. But these are all just my opinion. If you feel strongly about something, do what you're feeling!
