At the 4:59 mark, you are talking about Disney Parks in Orlando, but the Splash Mountain footage being shown is from Disneyland in California. Disneyland's Splash Mountain has single riders, where Disneyworld's has double riders. (The reverse is true for Space Mountain in both parks.)

I wish the Six Flags restructuring had included selling their lease to La Ronde to someone who'd treat the park right. Would certainly see a buyer today given how much the group that owns Mt Broumond/Grandby Zoo would like to have it.

Cedar Fair didn’t end up selling to Apollo. The sale was voted down in April 2010 and Cedar Fair had to reimburse expenses to Apollo. They went on to then adopt unit holder rights to keep a hostile takeover from occurring in the future and also removed their parks from the market. CGA was the only one to get an offer and then that deal was terminated too. All worked out well for the chain, in my opinion.

#2, Video says the chain was sold. Cedar Fair and Richard Kinzel attempted and failed to sell the chain. The sale would have required all stock holders vote above a certain percentage to approve, they didn't get enough votes, and the sale was cancelled. If sold, unit holders would have got a bit more than the current stock prices which would have been a big benifit for the ones wanting to sell all their stocks. Richard retired after the 2011 year. I would offer to contribute to your channel, but not sure how to make contact.

The world isn't the same with out those commercials of him pedaling cheap crap for $19.95 anymore. :( But in seriousness I'd say Son Of Beast's closure was number 1 for me. Growing up in Ohio and seeing that massive "M shaped" lift hill/drop towering over the park for many years, and hearing the trains climb the lift from the park, and then the years of it just sitting, and the eerie silence of not hearing those obnoxious anti-roll backs, while no one was sure what would happen to it next.
