Years ago NikkiTutorials showed me the tip of doing my eyeshadow higher.(forget the exact video) It might look crazy at first but when you add your eyeliner,your eyeshadow won't disapear.

I love this! I've been doing a very similar look lately after watching Crystal Lindy's everyday eye makeup video and adapting it to be more like this. One of my favorite things to do is put some white pencil liner on the inner corners of my eyes and tap it so that it's nice and soft, then I'll take my favorite iridescent highlight and dab it on the inner corners and the inner half of my lids. I kind of like how doing this brings the shimmer down into my eyebags giving me a very soft version of the "crying" look. And it makes my small hooded eyes look so big, bright, and foxy!

Omg I'm so going to try this. For some reason my eyes have become a bit hooded as I get older and my eyeliner just isn't sitting the same the way I used to do it. This seems so simple, too. I usually start my wing the other way, from the bottom with a line. It totally makes sense to try starting it from the top of the wing. Thanks for the tip, excited to give this a go!

Thank you!! You connect the dots for me. I found little things that I have to do to make my eyes look right to me, like adding eyeshadow PAST my eye, in the space next to the corner of my eye. Seeing you do it makes way more sense to me, and you verbalizing it helps. I think I just kind of messily added makeup without knowing what I was doing, so understanding it helps! It also took me a long time to realize eye shadow is not just for eyelids. I never heard anyone explain it like that so I was confused for a long time as to why the eye shadow on my hooded eyelids did not work the way it works for other people. Placing eye shadow on the brow bone, and next to the eye, and even onto the temple, works way better for me. I used to take "eye shadow is for eyelids" so literally.

My favorite look on you besides you're "recreating art" and outrageously creative ones, is that ffing blue statement eye from one of the Pat McGrath pallets. I almost bought that whole pallet just for that color. Ugh. It was ***stunning*** I have really hooded eyes with a lot of upper lid room and higher brows. Eyeshadow on me can be annoying at times but I'm figuring it out. I usually do a monotone lid look and it turns out cool.
