To make it more dynamic, use "Flexible part" feature in assembly mode

There are no advanced mates. As long as the start and end point of that straight line is on the surface of those two counter parts, moving them , defines the length of that line, which defines the length of the spring

@@with-Aryan I watched the first part of the video that is key, building a new part within an assembly. I was trying to make build an assembly by inserting an existing spring model. Is building a new part within the assembly the only why to make it dynamic or driven off from another mate?

This would be fine for digital designs only, but the actual part would vary depending on its shape. You couldn't really get it manufactured off that model. The flattened surface on wither end would be different sizes at the very least. Try weighing the part in both configurations, it'll show different mass for both.

hi, i did the same i create the susp assembly but when i put it in place in the car assembly i cant move it (i used limitDistance to creat the path of the susp)

NO....Pretty springs will slow you down and do nothing to improve design functionality. Flexible assemblies can sometimes not update correctly. Model springs as a cylinder..if you model them at all...especially if they are dynamic. Nothing worse than presenting a design to customers and watching SW swirl just because you wanted to show a cartoon. You just showed them that you are at the mercy of your software and not in control. This looks cool...but is totally avoided in the real world until DS can recode their software. SW users are used to crashes...but customers don't appreciate it.
