In the beginning, you could have placed one worker on the right side forest card, gaining you 2 resins and 1 twig. Then you could have played your worker on the left side forest card, gaining you 1 twig, 1 resin and 1 berry. Then you could have gotten the castle, ignoring the 3 pebble requirement.

You keep forgetting to roll the dice after adding your free critters to your city. When you added your husband and shepherd you forgot to. You also forget to get your 1 berry for both of those as well from your shopkeeper.

You are right. I tend to forget more when I am talking/filming while I am playing. I always try and retro actively fix those mistakes, but I guess I missed some.
