I like that there is no dramatic music because it just isn't necessary, you just got natural street sounds with people talking and local sounds I cannot go there myself because age and the physical health, but I feel that I am there in a way walking the streets and the route to Base Camp, so thank you its brilliant I just can't stop watching the video

Thanks for the comment! I really appreciate it. That’s exactly what I was hoping to document during the trek. It’s the natural sounds and peace over there that makes it special. I’m delighted you enjoyed it

Hey! Great video! Thanks for including things like the streets/people of Kathmandu. I am obsessed with looking at the trail and the mountains/scenery but I love details like street scenes, inside restaurants/tea houses, and the people (both fellow trekkers and locals). This is exactly what I would film. Keep on filming for those of us stuck working.

Hi! Thanks for the comment! It’s much appreciated. I’m glad you enjoyed it. The people and everyday details are for me just as important as the scenery and mountains so I enjoyed filming that too. It’s an amazing place and I hope to get back again soon

Hey! Amazing video. I was thinking of visiting in March but research says September to November offer the best Mountain Views. Would you recommend visiting Nepal in early-mid march? I’m visiting Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, sarangkot and doing a Mount Everest flight plus paragliding. Not sure when to go, any advice would be appreciated, thank you!!

Superbly shot! Loved the way you framed Ama Dablam at 14:05. Were you carrying a tripod on this trek, must have been hard work! Also which/how many lenses did you have? Thanks for sharing this, gives a real sense of the place. Absolutely brilliant, only wish it was an hour longer!! :)

Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I did have a light tripod with me. One of my friends in the group carried it luckily. We all carried our own gear for the trek so that was difficult with the weight especially the higher we got with altitude. Felt like the bags weighed a tonne. I brought a 28-200mm lens and a 24mm. A lot of the later shots were taken on my iPhone 11 Pro which has great 4K video quality. I had a 360 action cam and Drone. I didn’t have a permit for drone so only used it in Kathmandu. The air traffic (helicopters) was too busy on Everest route so kept it in my bag

@@MarkOSullivanPhotography Thanks very much. what about weather in 1st week in March and Lukla flights in March,any chance of delay in flight during above period. Is it crowded in March. Pls advise
@MarkOSullivanPhotography
@MarkOSullivanPhotography 2 жыл бұрын
@@arunkumar-ev7mq I had no issues myself with the lukla flights at the start of March. It was colder at night during the trek with ice in places but as the time went on it became warmer. The only issues was that we planned to to the Gokyo Lake route back from Base camp but because it was so early in the season we weren’t sure if the tea houses were open over the pass so didn’t do that. A plus was that we were the only people in base camp. No trekkers or tents

I wonder why you went up via Tengboche when there is a much more impressive high trail on the opposite side of the valley. The Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche High Scenic Trail offers vastly better views, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. Tengboche can be visited on the way down.

Hi Kari. I wasn’t aware of the alternative route that sounds great as well! I’ll just have to make sure to go back again and go that way too. Thanks for the info
@karipintakivi9153
@karipintakivi9153 2 жыл бұрын
@@MarkOSullivanPhotography The problem is that people going to EBC for the first time either just join a group, and 98% of the time those just take the easiest* routes and avoid offering anything extra. Or, of going solo, just copy the itineraries of previous KZbinrs and do not even bother to buy a paper map showing the alternate trail available. Next time! *) High Scenic Trail is airier and more spectacular, but not really harder and does not take more time, maybe an hour in total only.

@kari I have noticed you've been posting exactly the same negative comments suggesting different routes bla bla in other youtube ABC, EBC and Mustang trek videos too, what's wrong with you? can't you see other people's happiness ?
@karipintakivi9153
@karipintakivi9153 2 жыл бұрын
@@grg131 ABC really has only one route anyway, so not there. What comes to Phortse route on EBC and Ghyaru - Ngawal route on AC my aim is to educate people about the better alternative choice which almost nobody seems to be aware of on EBC and which surprisingly many still miss on AC. My aim is not to be negative but to inform and educate. Thank you for asking.

Yes we went in early March it was unusually quite at the beginning even in Thamel. We were often the only people in the lodges and were the only people at basecamp. It got busier as we came back down. The locals said covid was keeping people away still. It was good to see other people arriving before we left
