I hope you were not a victim of the notorious helicopter rescue scam. Guides makes clients sick on purpose and gets a $1500 reward from the helicopter/scam hospital companies. Did you stay in Namche for two nights? Next time, if there is one, go up via Namche - Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche. Much better views than from the standard Tengboche trail, lots of wildlife and practically no other trekkers. On the way up no extra days are needed.

@@karipintakivi9153 oh no, it wasn't a scam. Our agency was very professional. We paid only $500 each for a helicopter. We ended up staying in Lukla for two days due to flight availability, and we didn't pay anything extra while in Lukla. We will go back next year, and we will book with the same company and the same guide (Icicles Travels-our guide's name is Lok). However, I will consider your advice on the route. I would prefer fewer crowds, and I would love to see more wildlife. By the way, we stayed in Namche for two nights. We just wanted to try without Diamox. My oxygen level was okay, but my husband's level went down to 58-65. We saw a doctor in Dingboche and were looked after very well.
