Now we just need a Slugger vinyl and CD set one day

I discovered your channel recently. What a fun, wholesome and joyful place on the internet. Keep up the good work Slug, really chill and nice piece of music. :)

Thank you for 3 years of quality production. The beginning and synths in this track remind me of some music from old Japanese documentary series "The Miracle Planet" composed by Yoychiro Yoshikawa. Good job :)

Maybe my favorite slugger song. Amazing.

Thank you! This one took a lot of work to get right. 🙂

When I first found out that you actually composed your own soundtrack.... wow. That is beyond the next level!

Thank you! Music is actually where I have all my formal education in, haha, not video production. 😅

This makes me want to bust out a Johnny Thunder animation now! Great work.

It's always concerning when a video from a subscription doesn't show up in my subscription feed, but great work as always.
@RRSlugger8 ай бұрын
Ah! In this case, it's intentional! I didn't want to bombard subscription boxes with a non-video like this. 🙂

Really gives the feeling of climbing to the summit of a mountain, great job!

Thank you! I took a lot of inspiration from the song "Real Love" by Yes, but the end result ended up very different.

This really feels like a slugger song while still being distinct from your other works. Great Job

Thank you! Plenty of tried and true sound patches from my Juno-G in this one, but I was experimenting with one of my new electric guitars more in this one. 😊

Dunno the proper terminology but I love the "off-beat" drums

Yeah! Really conveys a sense of trepidation I think. 🙂

So you're a music teacher by day, right? I'd love to see a glimpse at the behind the scenes of how you "build" your tracks

I'd like to make a video like that one of these days! 😊

@@RRSlugger as a hobby on my spare time I like to play drums and mess around with recording sounds. A video like that would really be useful and fun.

i like it a lot, but i can't shake that it sounds a littel bit like Xenoblade - Valak Mountain (Night) theme.
@RRSlugger7 ай бұрын
I just went and checked that song out and you’re right! Very similar vibes and chord structure. Lots of m7 chords and the three blind mice motif (vi V IV) is used in both. 👍 I wish I had the means to record acoustic drums like they did though!

@@RRSlugger Always amazed by how active you are, even with old content (in comparison to other youtubers). I don't know a lot of music terminology. so most of that went over my head, but i thank you for explaining it. I sometimes feel death when it comes to recognizing sounds. So am happy for someone with knowledge of music giving a proper explanation for what i was hearing and that am not insane for thinking two snowy mountain songs sound a like. Thanks for the reply and answer!

The rendition sounds a bit rough to me but I like the idea, the instruments and the mood of this song. Good job!
@RRSlugger8 ай бұрын
Haha, fair enough! These songs typically go from initial concept to recorded product in 4 - 6 hours. If someone were paying me to make them, I'd spend more time editing them to perfection, but as is, this is good enough for me. 🙂
