Aku pengen coba sea-to-summit kecil²an gunung Semeru, tapi start dari pantai di Pasuruan. Kalau dari Google map, jarak dari pantai ke Ranu Pane (start pendakian Semeru) sekitar 60 km. Masih masuk akal kalau jalan kaki, 3 hari lah jalan santai (1 hari 20 km, tidak berlari)

Incredible athlete - the doco of the White Limbo expedition up the North Face has some footage of him traversing the Norton Couloir at around 8500m, and he is absolutely motoring, without O2, in telemark boots because his climbing boots were lost in an avalanche...one of the greats at altitude

Amazing. However, if I'd have got to Base Camp and met Barley, my mission would have changed. My new mission would have been to get Barley home to Britain. God bless The Sherpa for considering Dogs sacred, every year The Sherpa celebrate dogs and all the local dogs wear flower collars. As for Tim, he is up there with Messner, I don't think anyone who summits with O2 has conquered Saggamater.
