Another nice, detail and down to user experience review of a great bag which frankly cannot find in KZbin so far …

Glad it was helpful! It just got released so I'm sure other videos will follow. EVERGOODS has put out some good videos on it too.

They must have redesigned it to not fall over and sit flat. Awesome! Thanks JB for another great review. 👍🏻👍🏻

There are certainly some tweaks that could be made. It's a good EDC option depending on what you pack. I think it's a general all-round bag personally...will be a grab and go option like my Bullet Ruck.

Love my original CHZ22 as a dad bag/hike bag and it’s good to know it will hold up to some heavy use. Only downfall is it will absolutely not stand on it’s own. Looks like they fixed that issue on the updated version. Thanks JB!
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
No problem Luke! It DOES stand...most of the time...not perfect but it works. And I'm planning to put more miles on this thing until it breaks! Maybe the 45lb plate next??

Was the sandbag essential to prevent lower back digging? I have this bag and don’t experience any issues with my EDC, but I threw a 30lb plate in and it dug pretty badly. After seeing this I’m wondering if sandbags might be the key preventing that. Love your vids ✌️
@JBOutside13 ай бұрын
I don't notice the digging that most people talk about but the sandbag definitely changes the way the load sits in any backpack

thx for the video! glad to hear you're still loving the PLC20, I feel like its very under rated

I agree. Underrated for sure.

😌 Dan Matsuda pouch. One of the most hard to grab item.

I’m saving towards the PLC20, I can live without the water bottle pocket and also the 20 has a navy blue option which is amazing.
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
Agree. That blue is pretty cool I hear. Tough to tell from the web though
@georgebrown84932 жыл бұрын
@@JBOutside1 Yeah I’ve noticed the navy and black are quite close… then though navy is technically a darker blue so it’s a weird one aha
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
@@georgebrown8493 True. Very close

If I'm combining the CHZ22 and PLC20, in addition to what you described I would want an additional top access zipper for the laptop, since it becomes a pain with that body top pouch. That, plus a smaller top panel pocket (less duck bill) and an outside dump pouch like the PLC20's but with zipper access halfway down the exterior just below the half zip folding point and going down to the bottom edge of that outside pack face. Maybe deeper ridges on the back panel for better airflow? I dunno in FL you sweat no matter the pack.
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
Yes! A combo of these two would be awesome.

I had the CHZ22 V1 and regretted rotating it out. Got the V2 as soon as it dropped last week and had it out on it’s first hike last Saturday. I had the same positive experience with the back panel ventilation. The main zipper on the V1 got really smooth after the first couple of weeks and would expect the same on V2. This is a great option for one bag to cover EDC, a personal item carry on travel bag and outdoor hiking bag. Great review, JB!

Thanks Jason! Good to hear the zipper will work itself out. I suspected that. Totally agree this is a great all-around option. 👊🏻

What do you recommend for a Ruck bag? I’d prefer not a go ruck Rucker if I can get a bag just as good for rucking but can be used for other things. But I don’t want to justify any rucking performance. Please let me know! Thanks, love your channel!
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
Hey Randy, the Rucker is definitely best if you plan to use a steel plate. If you’re going to use other weights like a sandbag then any bag will do as long as it’s sturdily built. For the price though the Rucker is the best long-term solution because of the design and Scars guarantee

My CHZ zippers get stuck around the corners too! Ok...thought it was just me...
@JBOutside12 жыл бұрын
Haha, no it's not just you. At first I thought it was ME! But the PLC is just smoother and so the only thing I can think of it's the path of that zipper.

I really like the Melin hats. I have a few. Super comfy and look great. Whether they are worth the price is up to you. That's the worst part.
