Really good video, and solid editing. I Have the regular CPL24 v2 and the Phoenix variant. That black material on the regular one traps every hair my white cat sheds, so it'll be going to a friend who doesn't have a cat. I really like the handles on these bags, though. They're stiff enough to lift whatever you have in there without sticking out or flopping at all. The back panel hasn't bothered my back, but that might be a function of how we wear it and how long one's back is.

Great review. Unless you are planning on submerging the pack underwater, then it's fine not to have the water-proof zippers, if anything it's a good thing. I've got the bag and one of the best things is how smooth the zippers are, which helps with quick access. Also been out in the rain, nothing got wet inside. The bag also stays 'boxy' when not full which is retains that awesome, haven't seen that in other packs

I ride a gravel bike as my daily commuter and found this bag to be highly uncomfortable. The harness design caused the bag to ride up my back and press against the back of my head when I extended my arms forward to reach the handlebars. I suspect this would happen on any hybrid/city/mountain bike that the rider has to lean forward at all. Might be okay on an upright-sitting cruiser or e-bike.

@Nomads.Nation9 ай бұрын
both sizes are worth it, just depends on your needs. If you just want a small EDC and don't pack a lot, 16L is great. If you carry more daily gear and want it to double as a small travel bag, 24L is perfect. For most people 24L can be a bit big for EDC, but like I said, just really depends on what you carry

I believe the newly released Griffin is the waxed canvas version of this bag? Anyway, I bought the Griffin version last night in black. I'm hoping it works for me as a carry-on when I go to UK. I'm going to use compression cubes, and pack as little as I can. I'm going to use this and a Tom Bihn S22 and a fanny pack worn across my front like a sling. Think I can pull this off? lol. We'll see! I'm going to do a few packing test runs when my cubes get here. 😃❤

The V1 has the key leash in the front slit pocket like you wanted, not sure why they changed it! At least give us the option to detach and put wherever we want (including inside the bag if you're travelling and want to stash your home home key). And you mentioned that you like to wear the bag tight, but didn't mention the need to loosen the straps each time you take it on/off or access the side compartment. Did you find this to be the case? This is kind of annoying for me, but maybe I just lack flexibility?
@Nomads.Nation4 жыл бұрын
I never owned the V1 so that's very interesting to know (and also very annoying). Also for the loosening of the straps to access the compartments - yes, you are 100% correct, I should have made that more clear in the review (don't worry, we are equally as inflexible).

@@Nomads.Nation After using CPL 24 for months.. it would be good to have 1. 2 side pockets afor water bottles or umbrella at the exterior. 2. My important slim items like phones, passports, wallets and keys I prefer to have either a separate side conceal pocket at the back of the bag behind the laptop compartment with key hook or loop... if I need I just swing my bag around on the walk and easily access my items fast or an additional pouch which I can attach to the shoulder straps. These are the 2 features I think would have make my carrying of this bag more functionable for me. I like the laptop compartment of this bag which I am using to dump my important slim items.. very spacious with a divider to separate laptop and documents.. 😀 Sorry for the late reply on my thoughts on this bag cuz I am constantly switching bags to compared them and explore ways to pack them and carry my stuff 🙏😃.
