Your not wrong about the padding on the Everlast Power Locks,i've used mine for about 15 rounds on the heavy bag & the padding on the right hand is on the way out!I have a pair of Sabas pro series, they cost me about the same as the Powerlocks, i've used the Sabas gloves week in week out for about a year & a half, round after round and they are still in great condition ,for the price go SABAS for sure, great gloves.

Everlast seems to hate quality, because they don't sell the Protex2 lace gloves any more. I got lucky and purchased a pair last year at half ($75 USD) price and they've been fantastic. I want to find another pair at 12 or 14 for bag work, but the site doesn't have them any more.

@@Fit2Box After a thoughtful long deliberation with myself and after not finding used Protex2 or 3 in good condition (my favorite) to buy and the few scarce new ones being RIDICULOUSLY expensive, I have decided to go either with the VELO Cowhide Leather Boxing Gloves PR2 or UNIFIED Elite Sparring and heavy bag boxing gloves. I also tried to contact Valour Strike to see if they shipped to the USA because on the checkout no USA option for address exists. The Paws line of their gloves look absolutely gorgeous with that eagle. I just have two more questions: Which one of these the Velo or Unified have a similar comfort to the Protex2/3 ? I have been fortunate to own both the American version of the PROTEX 3 Evergels (in both lace up and Velcro) which come directly from their warehouse in Moberly, MO. After ordering a much less expensive (cheaper) pair of EVERLAST PROTEX 3 Evergels (Velcro) from Sports Direct, I came to realize that it was a totally different glove than the American Velcro version. The Sports Direct version was not genuine leather, but a cheaper synthetic version. It's "16 oz" tag was placed a little differently on the palm side of the cuff as well (and the inside of the glove had a totally different label and stock number). Therefore, my conclusion is that Sports Direct (which charges a lot less amount of money than EVERLAST.com) is not a genuine Everlast product (at least not the one sold out of Moberly, MO in the United States). Re Mikey Garcia, I'd assume he uses the American version as well, which in my opinion is a very high quality glove, both the Velcro and lace up "leather versions" (and I also too am fortunate to own and compare them to Grants, Grants with Orthopedic Foam, and Winning's in both Velcro and lace up versions). In other words (with a different emphasis), all PROTEX 3's (reg w/ C4 foam or Evergels which use C3 foam with a layer of gel) bought on EVERLAST.com (which ships out of Moberly, MO in the USA) are made of leather. I hope this contributes to the overall discussion, and keep up the great reviews over at FIT2BOX!!!

Jeff C Thanks Jeff This would explain the massive difference between UK and Everlast website prices but they look exactly the same I think it just damages Everlast reputation and brand further that different standards of the same glove are available It's just ripping people off as they are buying a lookalike of everlasts own gloves!!! Thanks for your comment and for watching Fit2Box channel👍🏼

Fit2Box if you sign up for everlast.com newsletter u get coupons And a lot of these gloves I have got from 25-50% off. There are flash sales where I got the protex 3 grey cuff for 50% off of 199.99 which i got for 99.99 with tax so about 110$. Mx everlast during the canelo fights or the day after I got the gloves for 30-40% off all mx products . So I just find ways to save especially living in the states gettin it directly from the everlast website. I also own grants and winning and Reyes and powerlock gloves. The higher end everlast which I believe are protex 3 evergel, mx training glove. Mx 10oz fight glove, powerlocks are on par with winning ,grants etc. I guess it depends how often u use them. I have about 10-12 pairs of gloves I rotate and use certain gloves for bag and mittwork and certain gloves for sparring. I rotate them enough so they don't wear down so bad. They have been around for a long time and there is the shitty low end products but using the coupons on the high end everlast stuff is worth it. There's a reason lots of pros are sponsored by them. Especially gettin it directly from the manufacturer. I have been happy with my everlast gloves. I like to use them more than my winning or grant gloves cuz they cost less and can afford to the wear them down . We all know the grants and winning are prestine but sometimes u just need some good quality gloves like the high end everlast that u can pound on and not care about. It helps if u can afford to have a collection of gloves and rotate them. Keep up the great work love the channel

Premixa s Dear Premixa s, I cannot recommend Sports Direct EVERLAST PROTEX 3 gloves, but I CAN highly recommend the American Version: -soft padding vs hard; -very comfortable vs an awkward fit, esp in thumb area (note: I have long thumbs, so Cleto Reyes don't work well for me either because of this); -superior protection (both for your own hands and for the safety of your sparring partner) vs little protection provided with Sports Direct version.

I've got the 10z protex 3 evergel laced. I used them for my last fight. they were £110 (I think) and I liked them more than the reyes I used for the fight before. hard hitting and very supportive on the wrist but very little/hard knuckle padding. and my first two knuckles on both hands are still sore almost three weeks later which didn't happen with the cleto reyes. but I really do like them alot. I like volume punching and these are lovely hooking gloves for me. the only downside as I said was the lack of knuckle padding which makes them a bit unforgiving especially if you're competing in them.

I've only had them 3 or 4 months so there's very little wear in them just breaking in on the pads. They really do let themselves down with the lower end gloves in sport soccer ect. I saw another video you did about that ages ago and it was very accurate. It's a shame being such a classic boxing brand. Really good content by the way I love my training/fight gear and my house is full of it! If I get good enough sponsors next time I'll be getting some grants. They're the nicest gloves I've ever used.
