I'm so so so unbelievably thankful for all of your guy's support and the participants in this MAP, it's just, AAA!! Also fun fact! There is a secret message at the very end of the MAP ;) Make sure your quality is up to 1080HD however or you won't see it! Try not to spoil! Q- did the sun rise cause midnight died? A- I don't want to spoil too much for the AU, however the sun rises not cause of Midnight but cause of Sol! Sorta Q- Does Sol go to starclan? Or? A- Not really! He wanders around as a ghost sorta in Limbo, considering he didn't believe in starclan Q- Is sol a villain in this AU A- No! Sorta, Q- Is this based off places like, say, Alaska? Tundra, where the sun sets for a while A- IN A SENSE! I got the idea from vids like "what would happen if we were flung away from the sun", however if the clans moved there very recently, it could be sorta? The AU doesn't have too much realism and I don't want it to! I just wanted to have fun with it! Q- How long is the sun gone? A- ~a month or a half! TBA-

@@HONEYDROPGALAXY 1) that's a secret >B)! And 2)! Midnight mostly went savage due to lack of herbs/roots (herbivore type things Badgers eat), and prey, meaning any sign of life is food in her now savage eyes. Losing her civility and turning to her instincts. There is no eclipse in this AU! However that's a really interesting theory!!

That subtle detail that Sol doesn't know he's dying until he sees blood is amazingly accurate. Because of the adrenaline rush, he wouldn't feel the pain at all at first and wouldn't probably think he was in immediate danger either. By the time he did notice, he was already drifting into shock and accepted his fate, knowing it wasn't worth fighting. Amazing job to all who participated, both in the MAP and in the thumbnail contest! While some could say this deserves a sequel, there isn't a need for one. We've seen all we need to see in one beautiful concept in one beautifully animated MAP.

I just have to compliment the scenario you wrote out here, you might call it not realistic but I don't think so! If there had been a big enough volcanic eruption, even if it was in another country, it could have effected the climate so much that the sun might've disappeared behind the ash clouds for a while. And for animals it would certainly be scary enough to make them think that the sun have disappeared for ever. It felt a little sad to see the sun show up again with them all dead, but it didn't feel unrealistic. Everyone made a fantastic job as well!

god this is such an AMAZING map, the ending not only gave me chills, but also have a sort of bittersweet hopefulness to it (if that makes sense?). if there's even anyone still alive, i can see the new world being super difficult to traverse - with it all being simultaneously frozen, and all. the main thing i wonder though, is why midnight returned to her base instincts ??? i assume it's because she just needed to survive and so reverted back to her older state, tho i would like any other explanations anyone else has :]

theory(sensitive/gorey/unsettling/disturbing topics discussed obviously): Midnight crushing the moon/sun at the beginning was her not only telling Sol that the sun would disappear, but also that it wouldn't return until he died. (hence "smile when you're not afraid to die") He ran out, told shadow clan that the sun was disappearing (but not how to stop it), and the cats, sensing that he was hiding something, imprisoned him. while he was gone, Midnight had a litter of badger babies, but they died due to the extreme cold/lack of food and.. maybe midnight was forced to eat them idk but anyway, after that she slowly went insane, having to kill the cats she used to call friends in order to survive. Eventually she did go over the edge, hating Sol for not just *accepting* his fate. When he returned, she killed him, not caring that she died as well, that may have been even what she wanted. then at the end the sun came up because sol was dead. yeah its farfetched but thats my theory.

I love how the lighting/color pallete in this map are so consistent! It really gives off this cold winter night vibes and I just LOVE the rim lighting and backgrounds. if you participated in this map be proud of yourself! edit: Also this sol design has to be one of my favorites

The sad thing is, even if the clans did believe sol, the outcome would have probably been the same, bc how do you stop the sun from disappearing? And of course the sun decides to appear right after everyone is dead

I have many mixed emotions about this map, and all of them are good! I'll try and keep this short, but no promises. A lot about this map was absolutely stunning, from the color palette to the designs and even the very concept itself; each part gave me chills. I love how the colors blended together just enough to give it all a spooky, winter-like atmosphere, and everyone who took part in making this map come to life should be very proud!

I sincerely don't understand why this MAP doesn't have millions of views and likes? The music, the theme of endless night and this mesmerizing icy wasteland amazes me! You feel a special tension at the end, and after that shot in the music and the death of Sol 3:20 (those who did this part in general, special thanks to them) makes you involuntarily exhale and feel devastated. A beautiful MAP. No, it's more like a masterpiece and an amazing MAP.
