I was lucky enough to see them live at the LA Coliseum in the ‘90s, after they had reunited & started touring again. What is so great about this video & when my brother & sister & I saw them in LA is that their voices & their performance then was even better when they first recorded this & their other hits. There aren’t many performers left who are as good live as their recordings, or whose voices get better as they age, but these 2 definitely did both. Truly one of the most memorable concerts I’ve ever attended.

How much better, that today your kids and great great, great--and so on, grandkids can hear Don and Phil. Just like the same song sung by Jerry Butler and Betty Everest, sung right before she left this earth, maybe my favorite version of this moving song. i was at the john Wayne theater (Knotts berry farm, Buena park ,ca) in 1973 when they broke up ..Phil smashed his guitar and left the stage...we all though it was a joke at first ...now all these years later, it makes me sad to think the turmoil the guys were going through at the time..

WHAT would one sliver of an Everly guitar be worth now, with provenance?!! I saw them many times in England, notably at Batley Variety Club, Yorkshire before that split (obvious problems) and years later at a reunion concert in Harrogate - perfection. Yes all families experience tumoil but they each had their flings and they came back. Sing on, brothers!. total @@davediamond9436
