Watching these makes me want to play until I remember that these 20 minutes videos are recaps of an entire week of 2+ hour long sessions. I don't have the time or patience for that anymore. Having the experience of playing condensed like this is probably far more enjoyable to me than actually playing it would be or was even back in 99 when I first logged on. Never was a fan of the grind.

Back in SOE EQ, I fired up ShowEQ and ran a 14 druid to WL to harvest yew leaves (yes they ground spawn, as a green speck like oak leaves IIRC). SoW and SEQ made it safe enough, and it was an easy way to make plat.

Fantastic videos man, glad to see you're back! I was a long-time WoW player all the way back to open beta but I was also curious about Everquest. You've definitely convinced me to give P99 a try.

The yew leaf ground spawns do exist, but they can be extremely hard to spot. They don't have the little pouch graphic. They just show up as a tiny bright green spec, often near the base of a tree. At any rate, they're still pretty rare.

Eye of Zomm magic item comes from 2 other sources BOTH in game Items: 1) Batling Eye - The Warrens : Came out 5months after Velous launch 2) Crystaline Orb - Solb : Original * Seeing your not a RAIDER... You could have taken 1 strong group into POFear and killed Apes TRADE skilling * ya you would have been better doing TS skill ups on your CLR (High WIS)

I collected all the items for all the pieces of Black Panther Skin and Tigeraptor armor that I wanted for my characters on P99, and I just paid the guy who crafted them with all the extra mats I had lol
