You totally can, you can turn off new models in the options, and on live servers.

More players in eq1, which I'd assume translates into more money is coming from eq1, so thats where I would focus too.

EQ will always be the King of MMOs. Even with outdated graphics, the gameplay, lots of character progression and levels, so many areas, zones and dungeons, the consider mechanic. I love the fealing of slaying a npc your level that took afew minutes to kill and unless your characters 50 levels higher or your good at kitting your not going to kill 25 mobs at the same time like you would in diablo. Any enemy thats your level or afew higher should not be killed in one attack, killing 15 mobs your level in 1 attack is so meaningless. I love the 1 on 1 fights and getting more than one makes you have to think and make smarter choices. Eq2 is pretty much the same and thats what makes these games so good. I love high graphic games, and cant get into alot of old or bad graphic games. Eq1 is the only outdated graphics game i can still play today in 2018 and not get bored and have a complete blast regardless of graphics. No game has ever let you build a character like Everquest, i can guarantee that, with 100s of Alternate Advancement points in Eq2 and in Eq1 there 1000s of AAs.

Planes of Knowledge killed the game for me, which is sad, this was the best game I ever played in my life.. so many memories.. PoK made it too easy, with the teleports easy-mode travel and corpse recovery, There used to be a DANGER, all the simplifications killed the challenge, like every other MMoRPG out there. LISTEN TO YOUR FANS, make EQ3, but make it goddamn hardcore.

Its Because EQ is not advertised very much anymore and with it being almost 20 years old, new MMO players or young Mmo players dont realize it exists, so they dont look up Eq videos LoL.

I would also love new character models but with the drakkin being the last model they ever made... I never want them to update the models. The drakkin look a little strange but their running animation is just horrible.

kuaieq haha what serioulsy? it's not illegal hahaha. if it were there wouldn't be hundreds of them. when Sony made it a free to play game it nullified those laws, I know another company bought it, but it still don't matter. we're playing old eq, none of new content.

Daybreak has an agreement with p99. They let the server stay up if they delayed Velious for a few months so the progression server could keep it's population.

P99 is fun. However The new live server "Agnarr" is comin and its locked at pop.

Blake Rambo agnarr is pretty shit. Once agnarr gets to planes of power then daybreak might make another server to further split the community. I really don't like the servers they make and how they keep making progression severs.

P99 is so boring, reminds me of a super old game that never had any updates or expansions. Expansions keep games alive from having new areas to explore to raising the level cap and gaining new spells or abilities, and of course new items and gear. If you want classic, turn off new models and grind butcherblock forever LoL. Glad P99 is around but its so pointless and boring.
