EVERQUEST - Redguides MQ2 guide and tutorial #1 | How to start automated pulling

This is a quick start guide for setting up Redguides MQ2. This guide shows you how to setup an automated basic puller so that you can get started FAST! This tutorial will help you setup a box team up and be up and running in the shortest amount of time.
IMPORTANT: If you are on a LIVE or TLP server, the directory of your macros should be C:\ProgramData\RedGuides\DesktopUtility\MQ2\Live\Release\Macros
NOTE: This program will not work on TRUEBOX TLP servers, but will work on Live and non Truebox TLP servers. Also, you can be banned for AFK play if you are caught, so be careful.

@@doctornachoz8099 I did have one issue, I didn't set myself to puller, so it kinda just stood around. Also VERY often, like every other pull, my SK will cast, but the mob will wander out of range and the pull will fail. kinda sucks. Not sure how tofix that one. Maybe an instant cast but I dont think I have that yet.

Oh also if I could get my puller to use items, like journeyman's boots, that would be something cool =D

Try using a fast low mana spell or a throwing item. I have a video on how to use the throwing item to pull.

You can have them cast Jboots as buffs. I might have another video on how to cast buffs.

I'd love to see how to set up a ranger to pull mobs to camp then have a war grab agro and ranger swap to dps. But I love the video. I have a smaller SK I was thinking of building up... this will help a lot.

i may have missed this, but are you only runing INI files here with Kiss? What you are doing here with the pulling, can you use kiss assist and IHC?

I just use Kissassist ini files in these videos.

You can use IHC on a support character like cleric, but use the ini for the puller. For my team I use the ini files on all of them since it gives me a little more control.

Hey guys. When I am ready to start my puller who do I target before typing /mac kissassist? Myself, a group member, a mob, nothing?

After you've setup your kissassist ini file, target the merc to start it. For example, if your puller is a warrior and his healer is a merc or real cleric, that is who you target.

I won't work on Agnarr since it is a truebox server.

Yes you can and it's also useful to /nav target to an NPC you might want to get to.

How much does it cost though? And, if you want to run a full group or 2, how many do I need to have gold accounts for lol. I used to true box 3 gold accounts. That was expensive!

You only have to buy it for one account and can use it for as many. When I was using it, I had it running on 3 different computers and boxing up to 9 different free to play accounts (3 per computer). A lot has changed since then and it is even easier to setup and run.

Just download Redguides very vanilla. It comes with a Live and Test server version for only $10 per month.

Downloaded kiss assist but how do i get mq2 cleric and shaman etc on test? I heard their free on test but only oprion seems to buy them Thanks...keep up the videos ..their great...love the conversations when it goes wrong lol. 😉

If you're on the test server, type /plugin mq2cleric to load the plugin. I think the MQ2shaman is the name of the other plugin. If you don't get the window with the tabs, make sure to type /reload ui

Have you tried MQ2War or MQ2Monk etc.?

I have MQ2 BER and it is VERY good, especially at high levels when you have a lot of buttons to push. A few of our guildmates have the MQ2 warrior and Monk and they love it!

Thanks. I will be starting on Test from scratch. Do you recommend a progression site which indicates zones I should visit on my journey to max lvl?

On the test server you can start out at level 25 with nice starter gear and stats. Target yourself and type /testbuffme and there you go. As for leveling up and where to go, I have a series in my playlists which covers that. You can also open up the map and use the zone guide to sort zones by level.

The snare is the first spell to cast, but it gets resisted here and there.
