Nostalgia. It's more than world of warcraft, or burning crusade. Its about the childhood gone, the friends, the fantasy, the world where i grew fighting monsters and discovering secrets. Its about the atmosphere, the music, the lore, the people helping (and sometimes trolling of course) instead the actual blind grind. I stopped playing at the end of wrath, where the game felt empty and i didnt had much time to spent on it also (study, work) but with this music, i remember them with happiness.

I remember after I bought TBC how I tried out the new zone and the music actually made me cry of joy. Elvynn Forest music got me hooked to WoW. Eversong music renewed the magic. Howling Fjord music blew my mind once again. But with Cataclysm the magic vanished.

Blood Elves were the first race that I could actually complete the starting zone (I was such a noob back then). 2 of my 3 main characters are Blood Elves. GLORY to the SIN'DOREI!

Actually the forest have always been in a state of autumn. The high elves enchanted it that way from the beginning.

@collegegoer45 It is an Eb 'power chord" or the root and fifth. Interestingly there is a fourth below the root played in the base by the string basses I think. What makes this more chilling is the major second to tonic in the Alto range by the faint strings. I think also he's using a bass bow on s cymbal which makes that feel even more chilling. But I'm not entirely sure, as I only got this from listening to it. But The WoW music is fenomenal! (spell check)

Takes me back to the days I had no idea what the fuck I was doing and was running round hitting things in hope that they were part of the quest. Never mind the countless dying due to lack of heirlooms, being cloth and not understanding aggro ranges. Blood Elf forever!

When i started i was alliance and gnomish :) when my old server was too empty for me after my friends quit during wrath i started a new server and became a BE priest, delivering death to my enemies and salvation for my comrades. eversong woods we're awesome and the ghostlands we're the best of the low level zones i have played in, even eclipsing tirisfal, duskwood and silverpine for a doomed haunted feeling.

this place made me convert into a horde! i always come to silvermoon and those beautiful woods just to relax there listening to this song! ;* i wanna play wow one more time so i can revisit these places before the new xpac ruins it all!

Deathwing has been part of the lore for far longer than anything that was mentioned there, he was actually in the original War of the Ancients book trilogy :P

The blood elven architecture is awesome. ESPECIALLY Silvermoon! They were stupid to start feeding on demons though. They should have learned from the orcs and their history. D: Still, great music! Thanks! ^_^

@Mjsmecha I would say the High Elves have it slightly worse that the Blood Elves. They went through the exact same torment (Kael'thas betrayed the High Elves by becoming a Blood Elf), however the Blood Elves would not let them back in their home.. so now they have no home and a dwindling population within the Alliance.

They are in an uneasy alliance, and they probably will break apart under the pressure of the constant sense of rivalry among the Horde's own races. But I feel they shouldn't. Tauren are peace-loving and Blood Elves finally have a place of their own between all the other races, after such a hard and seemingly hopeless situation of almost having been eradicated. The Orcs just want a home for themselves, but they're also great warriors. Too badly, settling quietly and war don't often mix too well.

@drpeppa2357 What about the Tauren? They are mostly peaceful, but they joined out of their alliance with the orcs. Bloodelves joined the Horde out of necessity because they were rejected by the alliance.

I think anyone who would call this race lucky should look at their history. All things considered, between a magic addiction, three wars: the last of which left Silvermoon in ruins, Kael'thas' betrayal, and widespread distrust and disdain from every race in Azeroth except the Forsaken their lives have sucked pretty badly. Sure their forest is to die for, but even that's in danger. The plague in the Ghostlands could easily spread to Eversong Woods. They've got it pretty tough.

My first WoW charakter was Blood Elf warlock... When I first log /it was funs server/ on WoW I was so ... happy. From that moment my favourite class is warlock and I play WoW in official server... ^.^ And my fav datadisk is still Wotlk :3

I do not think they upgraded anything that involved the BC expansion, both the BE and Draenei starting areas and adjacent location (bloodmyst/Ghostlands) did not get any new changes and the same for Outlands. Not too sure if they changed anything in the MoP expansion or not.
