A great team was Everton in those days, great atmosphere in Goodison Park. The damned heysel tragedy stopped everything in English football, what a pity ! Thank you for the upload from Italy.

Yep. UEFA staging the match in a shithole, unsafe and dangerous ground.

Best game ever at Goodison, I feel sorry for the younger Evertonians not to be there during the 80's !!!

Everton and Aberdeen in Scotland really were two powerhouses in Europe at this time. Both beat on a consistent basis top European sides. Everton probably more than any other team suffered the most due to the European ban, they would certainly have won a European trophy during those years with this side.

Ironic that Liverpool caused the ban.

Everton's greatest ever team. Goodison crammed with over 50,000 was an incredible experience. Those 1980s night games against Liverpool in particular are the thing of legend.

This Everton side and this performance was amazing- something clicked between those Everton players in a timing sense between them. From a WBA fan.

I was only 13 when I watched this game from inside the enclosure, the best match I’ve ever witnessed and then I went to Rotterdam for the final when we destroyed rapid Vienna, memories I’ll take to the grave with me.

Remember walking to this game ,about 2 hours before kickoff . And thinking i need to get the fuck in here. I have never seen so many Blues fans around goodison . Was lucky to get in and witnessed the greatest game at the Old Lady . We will never see the likes of this Everton side again .

The best game (certainly the best European game) ever played at Goodison Park. This should have been the final (or Celtic who were robbed by UEFA)

Don't want to complain, but very low resolution. Is this for legal reasons?

I'm sure after the game the Bayern coach was bumping his gums about Everton's " rough house " play. After watching this, if anything it was the Germans that started with the rough house tactics.
