Everton Season Review 2008-09

Such a good season this, we should have won that FA Cup, the team we had between 2007 to 2009 deserved a trophy. The key things that went against us in that Cup Final were the obvious loss of the spine, Jagielka, Arteta and Yakubu added to the fact that Chelsea were even more hungry, almost angry after not reaching that Champions League final due to the dramatic Semi final loss on away goals to Barcelona. I also think Tim Howard was really poor on that winning Lampard goal, I'm sure he's looked back on that moment in private and think he should have kept that out, I know I'd be thinking that. This period felt very much like the peak of Moyes, it felt like after that loss to Chelsea in May 2009 it was downhill afterwards even if league positions didn't necessarily suggest, it felt so subconsciously.
