I'm glad I came across this today. I'm getting the sense that it's essentially an evolution on the Viva Pinata formula with the main mechanics being based around discovering all you can about the different creatures, but this time it's in an open world adventure setting. I really like the fact that they have de-emphasised combat. Ever sense I played Outer Wilds I've been convinced that there can be a non violent AAA adventure game and I think this could be it. I put all my faith in Leafos (Louise).

I also think it's probably like "The Last Guardian" but with multiple creatures instead of just being stuck to help one through the whole game. There'll probably be a lot more variety in that approach. I think it's a really long way off, but once Psychonauts 2 comes out will be my most anticipated game.

Agreed! I'd love the majority of gameplay to be about living and investing in the beautiful world itself and less on combat. World building has always been a common feature in some pc games but It's rather "Rare" among console titles.

While I never had the opportunity to get back into Rare for over 2 decades since 2002, seeing the new Battletoads and the development of Everwild, I might get back to the company again under the Microsoft wing. With Banjo in Smash and Rare's increased popularity of the latest 2 games they published (also including Sea of Thieves), can't wait to see where this new Rare team is going with the company.

I watch the trailers for this game whenever I need a bit of serenity and peace. Even if the actual gameplay is only half as good as the trailer, I'm thankful for the beautiful theme of symbiosis and how well it's imagined . It's special. I think many are unaware of what life could be like on this planet. Given just a little love and gratitude, millions could be true caretakers of this home we share. And this game I think plays on that hope. It's a greatly inspiring notion. Likely because of the present imbalance of things, this hope of peace with nature is vastly undiscovered and unfelt by so many. Glimpses of this possible reality are sorely needed now. Rare games, thanks so much for this heart-warming depiction of people keeping balance with the natural world. I can't tell you how much I look forward to it.

I have the feeling, that everwild is going to be a much more fleshed out viva pinata. With all the animals, the circle of life, protecting a tree(maybe also planting?) thing. I also think, that the world will change through our decisions. Maybe we could build settlements, which will either evict specific animals, and attract other, maybe more dangerous animals, or vice versa.

Every time they release a Trailer we have more questions About the game. This is something i love about RARE and their Teams working on a game like Everwild, we don't really get any answers to our questions and a new trailer only Piles more Questions on top and we are somewhat mesmerised and happy we have no Answers, which i think other game developers seem to struggle with their audiences.

Maybe the main antagonist is an evil spirit that has awoken and the good spirits send them on a journey across different landscapes and biomes to find the source of where this spirit is. They have to stop the spirit from disturbing the balance of this world and they have to form bonds with different creatures to help them on their journey.
