I would argue Starrcade 97 is worse than Souled Out because at least Souled Out has good matches buried under a strange concept. Starrcade has almost no good moments in my opinion.

He was unemployed for awhile, tried to go to WWF, but they kept delaying talks and eventually he came back, heard out the plan for him to lose because he wasn't willing to hit her and realized it was never going to hurt him to begin with

Back in the day I though the biggest mistake WCW had made was Luger beating Hogan for the belt while the build to Sting vs. Hogan was still ongoing... only for WCW to then totally balls up the Starrcade match when, as Adam said in the video, it should have been the easiest thing in the world to do right. For me it should have been Hollywood getting squashed as the nWo had been eradicated and Hogan was on his own. Smash him with some big punches, a few clotheslines, Stinger Splash, Scorpion Deathlock, new champ, nWo finished, 1998 with a clean slate.

Best thing about the Piper/Hogan cage match was it gave us Jim Cornette's promo on WWE. Were some good shots fired in that one. Two best were probably "they were sucking air so bad, the front three rows passed out from oxygen deprivation." and "Hulk Hogan- you are a household word but so is garbage. And it stinks when it gets old too."
